Job Title: Chinese Interpreter / Translator

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking to recruit a Chinese translator/Interpreter to interpret written, audio, and oral pieces from Chinese language to English language, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone.
  • Read given material and research industry-specific terminology

Responsibilities

  • Interpret oral, audio, and written pieces from Chinese to English
  • Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
  • Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
  • Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
  • Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g., font and structure)

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
  • Chinese Proficiency Certificate Examination (HSK I—IV)
  • Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
  • Fluency in Chinese and English languages
  • Familiarity with translation software and basic technical terms
  • Time-management skills.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.

How to write a cover letter that gets you the job

Here’s how to make a great cover letter for a job application:

Underneath your name in your cover letter header, list the following contact details:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (something professional, usually including your name)
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address (optional)
  • Linkedin profile link (optional)
  • Portfolio or website (optional)

After your header, include the date and following company contact information:

  • First and last name of the person you’re writing to, or the relevant department
