The tertiary health care institution wishes to invite all qualified and interested candidates who wish to apply for Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Recruitment to submit their application.
Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital dates back to 1972/3 when the then Federal Military Government authorized the release of N1m each to 12 States of the Federation for the development of Specialist Hospitals with teaching facilities.
UDUTH is among the crop of Teaching Hospitals that were later established by decrees in May 1980 as second generation Teaching Hospitals along with Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Ilorin, Maiduguri and Jos. Seventeen Years after, precisely in 1989, the project was completed and commissioned by the then Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. The Hospital, which started operating in the present Sokoto Specialist Hospital has witnessed transformations and growth since then.

Requirements
Applicants seeking admission into the Residency Training Programme must possess the following:
- Evidence of graduation from any accredited Medical School (MBSS).
- Evidence of passing the Primary Examination of either the National or West African Postgraduate Medical College in the candidate’s chosen field of specialization.
- Evidence of full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Evidence of current annual practicing license, and
- Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption as the case may be

B. Nursing Officer
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a BSc in Nursing Science from any accredited University
- Evidence of full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
- Evidence of current annual practicing license, and
- Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption as the case may be.

C. Nursing Superintendent
Requirements
- Candidate must possess NRN and NRM From any accredited institution.
- Evidence of full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigera and
- Evidence of current annual practicing license.
D. Staff Nurse
Requirements
- Candidate must possess NRN or NRM or equivalent qualification from any accredited institution
- Evidence of full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and
- Evidence of current annual practicing license.

E. Radiographers
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree In Radiography from any accredited University
- Evidence of full registration with the Nigerian Radiographers Registration Board (MRRS) to practice Radiography
- Evidence of current annual practicing licence and
- Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption as the case may be.

F. Optometric
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of O.D. (Doctor of Optometry) from any institution accredited by the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN).
- Evidence of full registration with the registration board (ODORBN),
- Evidence of current annual practicing and license
- Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption as the case may be.

G. Physiotherapist
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of Physiotherapy from any accredited University.
- Evidence of full registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria (MRTREN),
- Evidence of current annual practicing license and
- Evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption as the case may be.

H. Community Health Extension Workers
Requirements
- A candidate must complete a three-year training Program in Community Health Extension Work (CHEW) in a recognized health institution
- Evidence of full registration with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBON), and
- Evidence of current annual practicing license
