How to Apply for 10,000,000 Fourth Industrial Revolution Technology (4IR Tech)
The Federal Government on Monday announced the opening of applications for Fourth Industrial Revolution Technology (4IRTA), aimed at optimizing the Nigerian economy.
The Agriculture Demonstration Project allows us identify, demonstrate and mainstream market-ready innovations that leverage 4IR technologies to enhance productivity and sustainability in the Nigerian agricultural sector.
Selected projects will receive up to N10,000,000 in funding to deepen the application of 4IR technologies in their work.
Deadline: 7th December, 2023
The Ministry of Agriculture will provide support to selected pilot farms and navigate a path to scale and sustainability.
Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, revealed this in a statement on X with the aim of encouraging and inspiring the use of technology.
“Our aim is to encourage and inspire the use of technology, especially Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as drones, IoT, AI and blockchain,” said Tijani. to optimize different sectors of our economy.”

He added that the agricultural demonstration project will enable Nigeria to identify and integrate market-ready innovations that leverage these 4IR technologies to improve the productivity and sustainability of the country’s agricultural sector.
These projects will be designed as pilot projects to demonstrate how these technologies can be successfully deployed in Nigeria.
Selected projects will receive grants of up to N10,000,000 to further apply 4IR technology in their work. The Ministry of Agriculture will provide support to selected pilot farms and chart a path towards scale and sustainability.
Eligibility for 10,000,000 Fourth Industrial Revolution Technology (4IR Tech)
- The 10 selected projects are expected to be focused on the application of UAV, IoT, AI and Blockchain in different agricultural sub sectors e.g. crop production, fishery, livestock and forestry
- Project proposals will need to demonstrate the use of 4IR Technologies to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability in Nigeria

Impacts - Potential to generate significant economic and social benefits for farmers
Feasibility - Technical feasibility with a plan for scaling
Sustainability - Clear sustainability plan for long-term success
How to Apply for 10,000,000 Fourth Industrial Revolution Technology (4IR Tech)
- Applications for the project are now open and must be submitted online by the closing date of December 7th, 2023.
- Successful applicants will be contacted not earlier than 6 weeks after the closing date of December 7th 2023.
According to the Minister, applications are now open at https://4irta.nitda.gov.ng and will continue until Thursday, December 7, 2023.
