Vacancy for high school and diploma graduates at Coca-Cola Coca-Cola is recruiting an experienced Shift Manager – Production at its Pune location. The role will work within a specific area of production process management and improvement activities, including identifying and communicating opportunities, achieving daily production targets, and identifying and executing planned improvements.

Roles and responsibility
- Responsible for managing production processes and area-specific improvement activities, including identifying and communicating areas of opportunity, achieving daily production goals, and identifying and executing planned improvements.
- Understands schedules, products, materials, product quality requirements, to manage line performance and KPIs within labor budget and operating expenses.
- Leads a team of 15 to 30 hourly employees with varying levels of experience and training; develops and coaches individuals and team to solve operational problems; motivates the team to achieve performance goals.
- Participates in the production and personnel planning process and makes necessary adjustments.
- Administers company policies and practices and compliance with standard operating procedures, which include enforcing and maintaining safety, food safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Organizes and facilitates team meetings to educate and promote continuous improvement.
- Maintains and updates process documentation through the company’s systems.
- Organizes and facilitates work group meetings, initiates and implements projects, and improves team communication and engagement.
- Works with maintenance department to improve equipment reliability.
- Ownership of communication within the production area and between functions.
- Involves and engages employees through regular team meetings, process improvement discussions, follow-up on suggestions and regular meetings.
- Responsible for effective formal and informal employee coaching, performance management and development.
- Responsible for cleaning, sanitation and food safety practices.
- Manages resources effectively to ensure maximum uptime, quality and productivity.
- Responsible for documenting and investigating security incidents and responsible for proactively reducing security risks in the area identify risks (behavioral and installation issues) and ensure rapid resolution.
- Responsible for complying with food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, performing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures and reporting food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.
Qualification requirements
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in a field of study in operations, engineering, business, management or a related field.
- Must have at least 3 years of management experience including hiring, employee development, performance coaching and daily supervision of multiple lines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or similar training in continuous process improvement is preferred. Strong orientation towards continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of food packaging principles, food industry quality and food safety requirements, ingredient performance and interactions withequipment, sanitation procedures, statistical process control, critical control points and new product scaling dynamics.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills to motivate a diverse production team.
- Project management skills are required
- Strong knowledge of the IT base, MS applications is preferable
- You must have demonstrated ability to work in a stimulating and results-oriented environment
- Must possess effective facilitation, presentation and team building skills
