To be considered for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship, applicants must:

Master’s Requirements

1. A minimum of an upper second class qualification (2.1) in their first degree or a lower second class qualification (2.2) with relevant industry experience
2. Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
3. Must have computer skills
4. Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English language and mathematics.
5. Statement of Purpose (500 words maximum) stating the reason(s) for the proposed study, its relevance to the industry and its expected impact on national development.
6. Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and must have it verified (NIMC verification fee applies) before applying for the scholarship.

PhD Requirements

1. Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
2. Must have computer skills
3. Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English language and mathematics.
4. A minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in their first degree and a good postgraduate qualification
5. A research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry (no more than five pages) including: topic, introduction, objective, method and method of data collection.
