Interns typically assist in providing administrative and technical support to ensure the effective implementation of programs, projects, and activities within various departments and directorates of the African Union, including:

Requirements for Eligibility
– Enrolled actively in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program OR
– Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (Masters) in a related academic field;
– Citizenship in a Member State of the African Union.
– Full-time student status in the final year of Bachelor’s or graduate school program.
– Proficiency in at least one African Union working language (Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese).
– Age not exceeding thirty-two (32) years at the time of selection.
– Demonstrated highest standards of moral conduct and integrity.
– Absence of convictions for serious criminal offenses, minor traffic offenses excepted.
– No prior work experience required for internships.
Required Skills :
– Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point).
– Competence with e-mail and internet applications.
– Strong interpersonal skills.
– Effective oral and written communication abilities.
– Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish, Kiswahili), with fluency in additional AU language(s) considered advantageous.
