Job Title: Tax Analyst

Job Description
- The role is Tax responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with the Nigerian tax regulations, international tax laws, and the specific tax requirements of the oil and gas industry.
- The role will involve tax research, preparing tax returns, assisting with tax audits, and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
Responsibilities
Tax Compliance:
- Analyzing taxes and collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with local and national tax laws .
- Prepare returns and review documents, check for accuracy and completion .
- Manage compliance with industry-specific taxes, such as Petroleum Profits Tax (PPT) and royalties.
Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Suggesting and implementing strategies for tax efficiency in respect of capital investments and transactions .
- Assist with tax forecasting and budgeting, and work to minimize the company’s tax liabilities while ensuring compliance .
Audit and Reporting:
- Assist in tax audits and respond to tax authorities on audit-related queries and reconciliations .
- Ensure filing of tax audit documents and timely processing of required tax reports .
- Monitor tax legislation changes and assess their impact on the company .
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting .
- Collaborate with other business units to provide guidance on tax implications of contracts, agreements, and joint ventures .
Tax Advisory:
- Provide advisory opinion on tax risks and opportunities within the oil and gas sector .
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Local Content Development requirements where applicable.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, including those specific to the oil and gas industry (e.g., Petroleum Profits Tax).
- Familiarity with tax treaties, international tax practices, and transfer pricing.
- Experience with tax audits and dispute resolution with tax authorities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with tax reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field .
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CITN) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in tax analysis, ideally within the oil and gas or energy sectors .
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations and FIRS processes.

Job Title: LPG Plant Cashier

Job Description
- The ideal candidate will manage the petty cash inflow and outflow of Rainoil’s Gas Plants / Skids and maintain accurate records/books on transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate the availability of funds to meet day-to-day operational petty cash expenses and emergencies.
- Maintain records to allow easy disbursement, reconciliation, and replenishment.
- Process expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper accountability of all cash advances.
- Create and maintain records of cash requests and disbursements.
- Reconcile all received cash with expenses, which have been recorded in the petty cash book.
- Process payment for accounts and issue receipts.
- Keep records of amounts received and paid, and regularly check the cash balance against this record.
- Collect money from the bank for safekeeping before reimbursements.
- File all documents concerning cash payment and collection.
- Respond to queries regarding approvals, payment limits, retirement deadlines, etc.
- Retire the various imprest accounts.

Job Summary
- The candidate is responsible for overseeing the managing, operating and safety of the company’s Gas plant.
Key Duties
- Manages all Gas Plant operations as well as staff-related matters.
- Maintains excellent standards in all operational activity, driving sales and profitability through the effective deployment and development of LPG cashier and operators in line with approved budgets.
- Ensures that the due process is carried out in the discharge of products and puts in various controls to minimise fraud.
- Facilitates daily stock requests from the LPG terminal.
- Implement measures to ensure seamless and safe receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of products in the plant.
- Facilitate regular facility inspection and maintain high standard HSE and implement maintenance controls/measures.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, consumer preference to guide Rainoil LPG offering accordingly.
- Report on LPG sales / financial results to LPG Coordinator.
- Monitors and evaluates plant operational and marketing results and develops interventions to promote business development and growth.
- Evaluation of daily sales of LPG and lodgements
- Compiles and analyses periodic sales records and consolidates such reports to the LPG Coordinator.
- Manage all technical aspects of operations of the LPG plant including the storage facility.

- Minimum of Second-Class Upper (B.sc) and HND Upper Credit in Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience.
