ELEME LGA EXPANDED EXECUTIVES MEET LEADERSHIP CAUCUS AS OJI NGOFA CALLS FOR ALL-INCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION AND ACTION…
Ahead of the Party’s membership Revalidation, Registration and Upgrade excercise of the All Progressives Congress APC Nigeria, which processes officially commenced Monday 25th January, 2021, the Eleme LGA Chapter of the Party in Rivers State, has met to put finishing touches with massive preparation and readiness.
In his opening /welcome remarks, CTC Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Eleme LGA, Hon. Bright Ngolo Nwagwu, greeted Ward EXCOs, Leaders, Party Stakeholders from all 10 Wards of the LGA, including indigenes without borders. The CTC Chairman made a sweep through the National Guide on the Revalidation, Registration and Upgrade excercise, well documented in paper, to the hearing and firm understanding of all attendees. He promised to ensure that Eleme LGA Chapter of the Party, shall put machinery in place, to see that, concerns of the aged members of the Party, and physically challenged, are tackled in a bid to making the registration less stressful for them, considering their peculiar conditions.
Eleme CTC Chairman informed the house, that APC in Rivers State, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Barr. Isaac Abbot Ogbobula, is firmly committed to the directive from APC National Secretariat, as far as the excercise is concerned. Hon. Ngolo further notified all party leaders at the meeting, that Rivers State APC is not partaking in the Governor Nyesom Wike’s 2021 Selection codenamed LGA Election.
Meanwhile, the immediate past Nigerian Ambassador of Nigeria to The Netherlands, His Excellency Ambassador Oji Ngofa, who is Caucus Leader of APC in Eleme LGA, has called on party stakeholders to swing into the victory mood, go all out, galvanise and mobilize more souls into the winning party, as this is the ample moment to garner more consolidated voter strength ahead of 2023. Ambassador Oji Ngofa reiterated the Party’s stance on not participating in the Governor Nyesom Wike’s Beer Parlour Drama called 2021 LGA Election,
“where the tyrant-Governor is sole determinant of those to become LGA Chairmen and Councilors”.
Ngofa, who was former Eleme LGA Council Chairman, charged APC members in the area, to go about their membership registration, consolidate on the manifest unity in their midst, and engage in their lawful day to day endeavours, as the future of Eleme, and indeed Rivers and Nigeria, is in good prospect under the APC.
A member of the Leadership Caucus and Alternate Leader in the LGA, Hon. Fortune Oguru (Perm. Sec. Emeritus), encouraged all to be in good spirit, as all is set to harvest the remnants of the opposition in Eleme into the APC fold. Caucus Member and Alternate Leader, Chief Hon. Fred Mbombo Igwe, was unavoidably absent, as he has an engagement outside the State.
Stakeholders at the meeting had moments of interaction and a few questions and answers shared.
