The Generation Google Scholarship for women in computer science is to help students doing computer science degrees in technology and leadership. Chosen students will get a €7,000 award for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Google Generation Scholarship, you must:
- Be a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at a recognized university for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Plan to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program at a recognized university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Have a good academic record.
- Show leadership skills and passion for improving the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.

Essay Questions for the Google Generation Scholarship
Here are the questions:
- Tell us about a time when you had a hard problem to solve, but you didn’t know how to fix it. Explain what you did step by step to find the solution. What ideas did you think about? What did you learn from this? The problem could be from school, work, activities outside school, or your home.
- From your own experience, talk about something that stops people from having equal chances in the technology field. Why do you think it happens? What have you done to change this unfairness, and what will you do in the future? Focus on what you’ve done for at least half of your answer. Remember, making a difference can be big or small, and it can happen in many ways.
