Heineken’s Speech touched me . Even though he was aggrieved yet he said ” I didn’t go to court to cancel APC Primaries. let’s win first. Go out and vote APC. I will reclaim my mandate later from Lyon”. He said it openly and joined Lyon to obtain a Stay of Execution. Despite his grievances, he still wanted his party to be on the ballot.
He didn’t tell his supporters to vote PDP. They didn’t start dancing around with Dickson on the ground of “Politics without bitterness”. Remember he was aggrieved because of the way the Primaries went.
He placed the interest of his Party above his PERSONAL interest. Most importantly, he considered the interest and suffering of APC members and Bayelsa people at large.
I give kudos to Sen. Heineken. I give him glory for this victory. I congratulate him for looking at the bigger picture instead of scattering the table.
There is no perfect system or process anywhere in the world. But pray never to have a Jonah in your boat. The moment you have one Jonah in your boat, he will invest others and you can’t prevent the boat from capsizing.
