DEFINITION OF CULT (GROUP)
- In modern English, the term cult has usually been used in reference to a social group that is defined by its unusual religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs, or by its common interest in a particular personality, object or goal.
- A system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object
- The word cult is defined as a system or group of people who practice excessive devotion to a figure, object or belief system, typically following a charismatic leader. The term is commonly connected with highly unorthodox religious sects that take part in “sinister” practices and demonstrations.
Going by the definition of a CULT GROUP, the Church is also a CULT GROUP.
In Catholic church, before you are allowed to start taking the “Holy Communion”, you’ll have to pass through a process. If you don’t pass through that process you’ll not be allowed to “chop it”.
