Job Description
- Daily check of call over of all books of account to ensure that is free from all errors
- Reconciliation of cash book and cash collateral (security deposit) GL on bank-one.
- Reconciliation of pass book, collection sheet and bank one
- Reconciliation of HMO’s with loan disbursed
- Reconciliation of loan disbursed on bank one and loan withdrawn ( GL )
- Ensure compliance with all the bank’s operational policies
- Daily check of cash book and verification of all branch expenses
- Preparation of Compliance and Internal Control Reports
- Checking of loan forms and verification of clients details after disbursement
- Pay random visit to client site for account reconciliation
- Daily review of petty cash book
- Ensure daily treatment of any exceptions on branch operational activities
- Ensure quality portfolio management including but not limited to group visitation, monthly branch audit ROs portfolio, loan appraisal reviews and loan monitoring.
- Regular review of the Branch’s Portfolio at Risk (PAR) in conformity with the bank’s policies (PAR≤3%).
- Monitor bank’s assets and identify any obsolete or idle assets for efficient disposal as may be required.
- Conduct physical verification of Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) and monitor its disposal.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by the Head, Internal Control and Audit.

Job Description
- Pay and receive cash, verify amounts and check for accuracy of deposit slips across the counter
- Book customers’ loans, post customers’ withdrawals and deposits.
- Carry out cash and other transaction reconciliation
- Open Customer’s Account and update customer account details/data on the database/banking software
- Maintains accurate computer and paper records required by the department
- Manage the office petty cash and prepare cash count certificate
- Maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees and customers
- Maintain and update account opening and closure registers
- Maintain customer mandate upload
- Attend to customer inquiries and maintain customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
- Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions
- Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Ensure effective call over of transactions
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be required by Head, Operations.

Job Title: Reconciliation Officer

Job Description
- Generate correspondent bank statements and casebook / general ledger and reconcile them.
- Prepare journals and ensure accounts are reconciled to show all accrued outstanding are updated and balances match with the general ledger and trial balance.
- Work with BOPs and Head office finance department for timely transactions, booking and clearance of related bank reconciliation items.
- Investigate all entry in the reconciliation statement and general ledger suspense accounts to ensure all items are posted promptly and timely clearance of accounts respectively
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly summary of reconciliation report to ensure it tallies with the bank’s trial balance
- Analyse, reconcile and proof read the general ledgers. Monitor inter-institution receivables and payables for the bank.
- Follow up of all outstanding items on bank reconciliation statements with concern and/or various organization units
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank transactions for all the bank’s accounts
- Verify the reliability and accuracy of bank balances in the general ledger and trial balance.
- Perform other duties as required by line manager

Job Description
- Design and revise internal control measures, compliance strategy and framework.
- Identify control lapses and policy inadequacies thorough investigation for a continuous improvement process.
- Design Internal Control work plan and coordinate compliance activities across branches
- Oversee activities of branch internal control officers for maximum effectiveness
- Carry out spot checks on operational activities across all branches and take action on non-compliance issues
- Receive and review all audit and control reports and identify issues for necessary action
- Ensure prompt investigation of fraud & forgery cases, breach of policies/procedures and related matters to a logical conclusion.
- Make recommendation for appropriate preventive/remedial actions and policy amendments based on emerging issues in internal control unit
- Appraise subordinates objectively, and follow up on action points resulting from the appraisal
- Responsible for the overall performance of the unit including, coaching and monitoring of subordinates.
- Carry out staff audit in conjunction with the Human Resources Department
- Recommend and/or facilitate training of Internal Control Officers bank-wide.
- Daily call-over of Head-office transactions
- Weekly and Monthly review of branches’ call-over.
- Oversee the treatment of any exceptions on bank activities and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure quality portfolio management bank-wide including but not limited to branch visitation.
- Regular review of the bank’s Portfolio at Risk (PAR) in conformity with the bank’s policies (PAR≤3%).
- Monitor the bank’s assets and identify any obsolete or idle assets for efficient disposal as may be required.
- Ensure monthly review of bank reconciliation statements for all existing bank
- Ensure compliance with statutory deductions.
- Supervise stock counts and follow through to ensure that balances are reconciled with the bank’s books
- Oversee the physical verification of Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) and monitor its disposal.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance and control reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (CBN, NDIC etc.) guidelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by the Board of Directors and Managing Director
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in relevant fields with 4 – 6 years work experience.
