We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Packaging Line Technician – Golden Sugar Limited

Location: Nigeria

Purpose of the Job

  • Responsible for the safe operation of various packaging equipment on the cubeline which includes start up, operation, and troubleshooting of issues to comply with production goals, company safety guidelines, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Conducts minor machine fixes and repairs and work together with maintenance team during major repairs and overhauls.

The Job

  • Set up and operate cube forming, drying and packing machines for cube sugar products.
  • Control and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain desired line speed.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Responsible for accurate production and packaging changeovers as per packaging schedule.
  • Maintain a clean work area and clean equipment before and after shift.
  • Keep daily records of down time and machine operations.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to promote a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Ensure package and product quality at operating station.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently.
  • Remove damaged products or supplies, as needed.

Qualification

  • OND in Mechanical, Electrical or related course

Experience:

  • 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience as a packaging equipment operator will be a plus.

The Person Must:

  • Be proficient in oral and written communication skills.
  • Have team spirit and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Have Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Possess active listening skills.

Job Title: Mobile Crane Operator

Location: Nigeria

Purpose of the Job

  • To operate the crane whenever required by any department under the supervision of the shift supervisor and aid the department with completing their scheduled tasks.

The Job

  • Carry out daily inspection of the crane and perform routine maintenance procedures as required.
  • Operate the crane whenever required by any department under the supervision of the shift Supervisor for effective and safe operation.
  • Keep the supervisor up to date on all activities as they occur when working outside the company premises for effective supervision.
  • Report all observed maintenance and repair needs of the crane to the shift supervisor to ensure that it is addressed promptly.

Qualification

  • OND or NABTEB

Job Title: Project Accountant – Sunti

Location: Nigeria

The Job

  • Ensuring correct recording and follow-up of all transactions related to the major projects approved for Golden Sugar Company Ltd and Agri-Palm in their plantation.
  • Quick identification of any cost variances to ensure any potential under or over-budget expenditure is raised with the Project Leader (GM, Sunti Golden Sugar Company)
  • Produce timely weekly and monthly reports to ensure projects are monitored regularly from a financial aspect.
  • Analyze and investigate variances between the actual project costs against the approved budget, periodically.
  • Ability to produce revised forecasts when there is changes to the original budget scope which requires revised forecasts and board approval.
  • Register and follow-up on all purchase requisitions, advance payments, mobilization payments, purchase orders, part-payments on certification, completed orders with goods received note or approved certification, invoices and payment of all contractors with the correct recording in the accounting records.
  • Correct recording of all transactions against approved project ensuring correct and timely tracking against approved budget.

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Professional Certification (ICAN)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in a similar function from a reputable organization.

The Person Must:

  • Understand contract accounting and procurement procedures.
  • Understanding of processes and procedures to ensure integrity of financial and management control of all expansion activities.
  • Be comfortable to work in hostile farming environment – compensable.
  • Have a structured approach to reporting, also be able to produce clear, concise reports which can show both actual expenditure as well as committed and uncommitted expenditure.
  • Ability to explain financial figures to non-finance managers and supervisor.
  • Be quality driven and pay attention to details.

How to write a cover letter that gets you the job

Here’s how to make a great cover letter for a job application:

Underneath your name in your cover letter header, list the following contact details:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (something professional, usually including your name)
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address (optional)
  • Linkedin profile link (optional)
  • Portfolio or website (optional)

After your header, include the date and following company contact information:

  • First and last name of the person you’re writing to, or the relevant department

2. Address the hiring manager (ideally by their name)
