Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Nigeria

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with company heads, stakeholders, customers, and system owners to determine the financial, business, and operational requirements and goals.
  • Manage the business analyst and UI/UX team.
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of the department.
  • Liaise with business analysts and UI/UX designers for planning, developing, designing, and implementing new applications and improving existing applications.
  • Develop roadmaps for program/projects.
  • Direct daily operations of the department by analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.
  • Accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion.
  • Provide clear communication to the organization on project status, critical path, as well as potential areas of risk.
  • Establishes short and long-term program objectives and ensures team members meet them.
  • Provide Weekly Status reports, Provide Monthly status reports.
  • Manages projects with a focus on 4 Project Dimensions (Scope, Schedule, Cost, and Quality).
  • Leads the monitoring of programs and supports business analysts and UI/UX designers from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development, and implementation.
  • Drives project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Maintains resource forecasting, planning & work assignment allocations. Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements:
  • A good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes/Projects.
  • Good knowledge of project management methodology including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and PRINCE2
  • Explain ideas in simple and user-friendly language.
  • Expertise in using business analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in the use of project management tools such as Microsoft Azure-DevOps and Jira
  • Proficiency in the use of document management systems such as Microsoft SharePoint, Confluence, etc.
  • Knowledge of national and international standards for developing products.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Technical background in cloud infrastructure, database management, user experience, UI design is nice to have.
  • Analyse technical issues in a product are nice to have.

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:

  • Implement financial and accounting policies, procedures, and strategies across all Strategic Business Units (SBU).
  • Maintain General Ledgers and manage all intercompany financial transactions, including accruals and adjustments
  • Maintain monthly “chart of accounts” to reflect account management activities
  • Review and report all financial accounts/reports/reconciliation, in adherence with the financial reporting cycle
  • Monitor revenue allocation for accuracy
  • Identify and implement steps to improve profitability and achieve cost reduction
  • Supervise documentation of all financial transactions and data across all SBUs
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships such as auditors, financial institutions, regulatory agencies
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for collation
  • Supervise cash receipts and payments across all locations
  • Oversee the preparation of the Company’s trial balance and financial reports (accounts receivables report, balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, payroll accounts) and manage the consolidation of financial information
  • Implement control systems and processes across all SBUs to secure the assets of the organization
  • Provide coaching and technical support to team members

Tax:

  • Develop and drive the implementation of tax strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Lead the tax planning process and audits and implement steps to minimize tax liabilities & exposure
  • Provide internal tax advisory services to all SBUs to achieve tax efficiency
  • Oversee the preparation of all applicable tax computations such as CIT, WHT, VAT, etc.
  • Implement measures to achieve timely processing and remittance of tax payments and reconciliation of all tax accounts
  • Keep abreast of current industry tax practices and regulation, provide advisory to management on tax and regulatory requirements
  • Tax record management and maintenance of reporting process
  • Collection of all Company and/or employees tax receipts and clearance certificates
  • Carry out regular in-house tax reviews and oversee preparation of tax self-assessments
  • Follow-up and resolve tax queries from the tax regulatory authorities
  • Monitor the performance of retained tax consultants on tax issues and reports.

Required Qualification

  • B.Sc in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 8-12 years’ experience
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, or ACCA is mandatory
  • Experience working in a Group structure
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles in a group structure
  • Good understanding of and experience with transfer pricing and tax rules
  • Sound ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High level of competence using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure, with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and writing and presentation skills.

Job Objective

  • Take ownership and initiative in resolving queries and problems efficiently.
  • Process clients’ contracts and documentation on ReSure system.
  • Submit contract documentation directly to clients and make necessary follow-ups on outstanding documentation.
  • Appropriate record keeping.
  • Review and check reinsurance documentation to ensure that it satisfies client requirements and other regulatory standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and reinsurers.
  • Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts.
  • Get involved in claims queries when necessary.
