Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Nigeria (Remote)
Employment Type: Full Time

What You’ll Do

  • Work with our tech team to improve existing features and work on new features on the Moni app.
  • Collaborate with mobile engineers and product manager.
  • Build, test and maintain APIs (NodeJs) to be consumed by mobile engineers.
  • Integrate and consume third party APIs to solve business needs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any major.
  • 4+ years experience as a backend engineer
  • Experience working in a fast paced, remote environment
  • Experience writing and deploying production grade applications using Backend JavaScript frameworks: NodeJs + Express.
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs
  • Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, Redis and MySQL
  • Understanding of git and version control
  • Experience working in a Fintech is a plus
  • Experience writing code across the Full-stack with frontend JavaScript frameworks is a big plus
  • Experience writing and publishing technical content and documentation is a big plus.
  • If you’re bilingual in English and French, that’s a big++

Job Title: Flutter Engineer

Job Summary

  • We’re looking for a Flutter Engineer to build the future of Community Finance in Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Create multi-platform apps for iOS/Android using Flutter Development Framework
  • Micro code enhancements within mobile platforms like android/iOS Flutter widgets for iOS and Android.
  • Participation in the process of analysis, designing, implementation and testing of new apps
  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
  • Create well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Participate in all phases of the development life-cycle
  • Assist in the preparation and production of releases of software components
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
  • Investigate alternatives and technologies and present them for architectural review, in order to support continuous improvement

  • 2+ years of experience working with mobile development
  • Experience in Flutter Development
  • Have published one or more mobile apps in Google Play or App Store
  • Frontend experience in React/Vue.

Required Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Flutter, Dart, Flutter UI and animations.
  • Should have experience working with native technologies like Android, iOS
  • Knowledge and understanding of Firebase
  • Experienced in working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Strong understanding of design patterns over and above MVP, MVVM, and MVC
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing production mobile apps.
  • Experience with cross-platform technologies like ionic and React Native skills
  • Experience with Agile development, scrum.
  • Deployed at least 3 apps
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools like Bitbucket
  • Experience dealing with different screen sizes.

Job Title: Credit Risk / Underwriting Analyst

  • Review documents submitted during loan applications as well as cluster performance to determine loan eligibility

What You’ll be Doing
You’ll:

  • Work closely with the COO, Growth and Engineering teams in implementing our product vision
  • Develop requirements and prototypes based on product strategy and vision
  • Engage closely with our customers to understand their pain points with using our products and creating solutions around them.
  • Define, monitor and analyze metrics to guide product improvements
  • Create and own the roadmap; prioritise initiatives according to aggregate needs, with defensible reasoning that aligns stakeholders and energizes the design and engineering teams
  • Monitor and communicate updates on product priorities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with our external partners to deliver solutions that will solve problems for our users
  • Drive progress across product initiatives by removing blockers from the team and going the extra mile to ensure that the product objectives are met

How to write a cover letter that gets you the job

Here’s how to make a great cover letter for a job application:

Underneath your name in your cover letter header, list the following contact details:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (something professional, usually including your name)

  • Portfolio or website (optional)

After your header, include the date and following company contact information:
