After the training period, beneficiaries will be transited into permanent jobs or supported to start their own businesses.
The RHJCP has two streams: Graduate and Non-Graduate. The Graduate stream is for Nigerian youths who have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, while the Non-Graduate stream is for Nigerian youths who have a secondary school certificate or equivalent.
The RHJCP offers training in a variety of skills, including:
- Agriculture
- ICT
- Construction
- Creative arts
- Hospitality
- Education
- Healthcare
Beneficiaries of the RHJCP will receive a monthly stipend of ₦30,000 (approximately $75). They will also be provided with health insurance and other benefits.
The RHJCP is a welcome development for Nigerian youths. The country has a large youth population, with over 60% of the population under the age of 35.
