Job Title: Sustainability Officer, Technical & Environment

 

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Purpose

  • Ensure that all sustainability-related requirements, environmental management compliance, as well as legal, regulatory, and other obligations, are up to date and adequately monitored.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation, implementation, and achievement of environmental objectives.
  • Conduct impact assessments in order to identify, assess, and reduce the organization’s environmental and financial risks.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor projects for environmental improvement.
  • Audit, analyze, and report on environmental performance to internal and external clients, as well as regulatory bodies; this will include responding to and managing customer sustainability requests.
  • Promote and increase awareness of the impact of emerging environmental issues at all levels of the organization.
  • Promote the company’s commitment to reducing negative environmental impacts and coordinating efforts for carbon emission reduction.
  • Produce environmental reports in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) formats.
  • Ensure that Ecovadis’ performance is monitored and that corrective actions are developed and implemented as needed to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all environmental metrics.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all government regulatory agencies (National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), etc.
  • Manage public and legislative concerns that affect the company’s capacity to operate.
  • Set goals and targets for the organization’s long-term sustenance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Management, Applied Engineering (Electronics preferred) or any science related course
  • 5 – 7 years experience in related industry
  • Must be have requisite skills to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Good communication skills – oral and written
  • Good report writing and document control skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft office – MS Excel, MS Words and Power Point.

  • Installation, setup, maintenance, repair and handling of hollow glass machines, Individual Section Machine (I.S machines).

Responsibilities

  • Plan preventive maintenance of Individual Section Machines (I.S machines)
  • Ensure quick and improved response to repair works during machine breakdown time
  • Maintain Individual Section machines (I.S. machines) running parts, and  setup machines for job change
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and review technical reports/equipment history to enhance job and staff development
  • Evaluate and make requisition for running spares, fit and modify finished parts of the machines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering or any other related field.
  • 1 – 3 years working experience
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze faults on bottle making machines

Job Purpose

  • Effectively provide quality maintenance service to production and other areas during the shift period to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and planned maintenance according to schedules
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation control system and telecommunication equipment
  • Test and calibrate all measuring instruments
  • Report and ensure prompt response to all breakdowns which may affect production to reduce downtime
  • Service Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) solenoid valves
  • Service and maintain Lehr burners
  • Monitor decorating  Lehr temperature
  • Control Furnace and Feeder Firing system
  • Repair and maintain all Individual Section (I.S) machines, electronics air/lubricating control systems
  • Trouble shoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) processes
  • Record shift activities in the logbook.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or any other related field.
  • 1 – 3 years working experience in similar position
  • Ability to critically analyse electronic, instrumentation and telecommunication faults and proffer solutions
  • Ability to read and interpret as well as modify circuits
  • Use of Microsoft offices – MS Excel, MS Words and Power Point

Here’s how to make a great cover letter for a job application:

Underneath your name in your cover letter header, list the following contact details:

  • First and last name
  • Email address (something professional, usually including your name)

  • Portfolio or website (optional)

After your header, include the date and following company contact information:

2. Address the hiring manager (ideally by their name)
