PDP CRISIS: What Happened With Oshiomhole is NOT What is Happening With Secondus

Sharing is caring!

What happened with Oshiomhole

is NOT what is happening with Secondus.

Before you are bamboozled with opinions trying to shape your mind and reaction or trying to make you see the issues between Oshiomhole and Secondus as one and the same, you should endeavour to read fo yourself the constitution of both parties.

In the constitution of the APC, a ward chairman or members of exco can suspend a National officer of the party, which was evident in the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as National chairman by members of his ward exco.

In the PDP, a ward chairman or his exco CANNOT suspend a National Officer.

In Article X section (7) of the PDP constitution it clearly states that;

“NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION RELATING TO DISCIPLINE, NO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AT ANY LEVEL, EXCEPT THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, SHALL ENTERTAIN ANY QUESTION OF DISCIPLINE AS MAY RELATE OR CONCERN A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, DEPUTY GOVERNORS OR MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY”.

Flowing from the above, it is falsehood to attempt to justify the court order on grounds that it was made to consummate the purported suspension of Prince Secondus by members of his ward exco as they clearly have no such powers.

Secondly, the constitution of the PDP in The Constitution of the PDP in Chapter X (6) clearly states;

“ANY DECISION TAKEN AGAINST A MEMBER WHO HAS NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE CHARGES AGAINST HIM OR HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY OPPORTUNITY OF DEFENDING HIMSELF SHALL BE NULL AND VOID”.

Those who struggle to draw similarities between what happened in Edo between Adams Oshiomhole and what is happening to Prince Uche Secondus struggle but in vain.

What Nigeria and the whole world are witnessing is flagrant, arrogant and conplete abuse of the judiciary.
