The Concepts

• Momentum Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity (M-RITE) aims to strengthen Routine immunization (RI) programs to overcome the entrenched obstacles that contribute to stagnating and declining immunization rates and to remove barriers to reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children with lifesaving vaccines and other health services Routine Immunization workplan focus is to strengthen the mechanisms for advocacy, communication and social mobilization for immunization services in M-RITE supported states.
• In Nigeria, the Project provides support to the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) at the National and State level. In line with aforementioned, M-Rite desire to re
• SERICC conference room serves as a host venue for TWG meetings, SERICC, SEMCHIC, EPI reviews and several other meetings. However, due the poor condition of the air conditioners has made it difficult to hold long meetings there and some persons have even abstained from meetings. Consequently, the DPM SERICC sent a request to M-RITE for assistance in this regard.
• As part of M-Rite’s unleashing support to the State, M-Rite wants to replace 2 units of Split Air Conditioners IN SERICC. This will enhance the quality.
• The SERICC Conference Hall is a place where SERICC meetings are held, successes, Challenges are brought for discussed.

Quotation for Air Condition
As a part of the preparation for this meeting, vendor shall supply and deliver lunch to participants, at the designated venue. The participants shall be inclusive of state officials and other partners.

The Concepts

• Bayelsa State is located in the South-South region of Nigeria, which is in the core Niger Delta Region. This region is a low-lying plain riddled with an intricate system of water channels through which the Niger finds its way into the ocean. It is a terrain that is scarred by a network of tributaries, creeks and rivers. Last year, a majority of the state capital and some Local Government Areas, as well as some communities were overrun by flood. Thus, making increasing Covid-19 coverage in the state a major challenge.
• M-RITE’s specific objective (2) in Bayelsa State includes implementing COVID-19 vaccination service delivery through the 30 mobile teams in line with SCALES 3.0, specifically through COVID-19 vaccination to targeted Lectures and Students at selected Universities.
• COVID-19 vaccination of Lecturers and Students is a high priority activity in accordance with the WHO’s prioritization of groups for COVID-19 vaccination and Universities in Nigeria provide an opportunity to mass vaccinate undergraduates, their lecturers, and the non-academic staff especially after the prolonged ASUU strike.

COVID-19 vaccination of Lecturers, students, and non-academic staff of 5 universities in Bayelsa State include:

• Sensitization and COVID-19 vaccination of teachers, students, and non-academic staff of Niger Delta University in Bayelsa State.
• Sensitization and COVID-19 vaccination of teachers, students, and non-academic staff of Federal University Otuoke in Bayelsa State.
• Sensitization and COVID-19 vaccination of teachers, students, and non-academic staff of Nigerian Law School in Bayelsa State.
• African University Toru-orua
• College of Education Sagbama

The Logistics
Based on projections of what is to be achieved as it pertains to the logistics for Feeding (provision of snacks), below is a tabular illustration of our expectations:

The above activity is slated to run over 15 days and at 5 selected Universities in Bayelsa State.

• Provision snacks to the 10,000 vaccinees at different locations in Bayelsa State, over a period of 7 days.
