Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all the Monitoring , Evaluation  and Research activities of State2state Project
  • Supervise and monitor all the state2state project field activities across the 7 LGAs.
  • Document and file activity reports and success stories
  • Lead the baseline assessment across the 7 LGA’s  on Public Finance Management and Procurement process
  • Assist the program  manager in conducting step down on Pubic Finance Management and Procurement process
  • Facilitate bi-annually learning session / review meeting among the 7 LGA’s for project performance evaluation.
  • Participant in all the program activities to collect attendance list and other documentation.
  • Analyse the result of the WASH LGA score card, document and share results to Stakeholders
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the State Program Manager.

Qualification, Requirement and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; and ability to influence and facilitate advocacy agendas at State and LGA levels
  • Understanding of local communities and cultures and ability to communicate fluently in the commonly spoken local language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel and work in difficult settings, including remote rural areas of the state.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, or similar software
  • Well-organized, with ability to track multiple activities and deadlines
  • Experience in providing administrative leadership and support to work teams

Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight on overall program implementation including finance, Logistics and coordination
  • Lead the advocacy visit to WASH key stakeholders in the seven LGA’s in Ebonyi State
  • Support the implementation of technical activities to in the delivery of the State2State project milestones.
  • Represent  WEWE in meetings, workshop and trainings for state2state project
  • Facilitate the formation of WASH Customer forum across the Seven LGA’s.
  • Supervise the monthly WASH Customer forum meetings across the 7 LGA’s.
  • Facilitate the development of WASH demand service charter for improved WASH services in the state.
  • Facilitate the development of LGA score card across the 7 LGA’s.
  • Supervise the baseline assessment on Public Financial Management and Procurement process across the Seven LGA’s.
  • Conduct Step down training for LGAs staff on Public Financial Management and Procurement Process.
  • Facilitate the Annual WASH Summit in the state
  • Facilitate the commemoration of local and global WASH event for increased knowledge in WASH.
  • Conduct quarterly facility tour to Water schemes   to track their functionalities.
  • Facilitate bi-annually Learning session /Collaboration Adapting and learning/ review meeting to monitor performance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual report to State2State.
  • Assist in the development of project reports and materials, manuals, documents and other  materials as requested
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Attend to other duties that might be assigned by the management.

Qualification, Requirement and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with NGOs specialized in Humanitarian assistance
  • Previous work experience in Humanitarian assistance activity.
  • Previous experience in program management of a WASH project is essential.
  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills; and ability to influence and facilitate advocacy agendas at State and LGA levels
  • Understanding of local communities and cultures, and ability to communicate fluently in the commonly spoken local language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel and work in difficult settings, including remote rural areas of the state.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the Management of Human Resources Portfolio
  • Assist in orienting all hires by forwarding requirements and criteria to the Human Resource Team providing information and directions.
  • Assist in verifying candidates’ background by contacting references.
  • Assist in enrolling new employees by issuing forms and verifying completion.
  • Assist in handling the arrangement of tests, interviews, and chats with prospective hires.
  • Assist in maintaining organization and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Second class upper / upper credit division only
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in the field.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource software
  • Fluent in English Language (Oral and Written)
  • Ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including relationships with donors and partners.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Have a high degree of accountability and integrity.
  • Knowledge of Accounting is an added advantage.
  • Information Technology / IT skills is an added advantage.

Job Description

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring WEWE’s full compliance the Nine Statutory regulations and other secondary regulators such as: 1. PENCOM, 2. Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), 3. National Housing Fund (NHF), 4. Industrial Training Funding (ITF), 5. Financial Reporting Council (FRC), 6. Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), 7. Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS) / State Inland Revenue (SIRS). 8. National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and 9. The Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (“SCUML”)
  • Ensure all withholding is remitted as and as when due
  • Process annual organizational tax clearance
  • Ensure PAYE tax is remitted to the relevant tax authority
  • Ensure monthly remittance of staff pension benefit to the relevant pension managers by the Organization.
  • Processing of all regulatory bodies’ compliance certificate – such as PENCOM Certificate and NSITF Annual Certificate
  • Periodically Identify non-compliance issues and provide advice on required remediation
  • File and document compliance activities and reports with regulatory agencies
  • Report to management and the Board of Directors on compliance program
  • Develop an annual work plan to increase WEWE’s level of compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting
  • Must possess a second class upper / Upper credit or above
  • Candidates with ICAN or ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • Must have skills in working with statutory bodies
  • At least 3 – 4 years’ experience in managing similar responsibilities
  • Knowledge of US CDC funding or USAID funded is an added advantage
  • Experience working with international NGOs, local civil society organizations, government, bilateral and multilateral donors in a multi-cultural, politically sensitive environment is an advantage.

Job Title: Internal Audit Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • The Internal Auditor will work to contribute in improvement of WEWE control processes, risk management and governance.
  • Carry out pre and post review of all financial expenditures.
  • The Internal Auditor will review CBOs monthly certified expenditure reports.
  • Carry out internal control self-assessment on CBOs.
  • Perform monthly review and evaluation of financial records/reports and bank reconciliation statement.
  • Ensure WEWE and donor’s assets are safeguarded.
  • Ensure that inventory record is up-to-date, complete, and accurate
  • Assist the organization in carrying out risk identification and timely report to the appropriate authority with improvement recommendations.
  • Timely investigate all cases of fraudulent practices and missing assets.
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
  • Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
  • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  • Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
  • Periodically carry out Fraud Awareness and Preventing training for staff

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting
  • Must possess a second class upper / Upper credit
  • Candidates with ICAN or ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • At least 3 – 4 years’ experience in managing similar responsibilities
  • Must have experience in participating in statutory or audits of local NGOs like WEWE
  • Must be very strong in report writing – i.e., evidence that they have lead audits assignments and have been the one writing the final audit report for their audit firm.
  • Must have experience writing quarterly audit reports to the board
  • Be proficient in the use of excel, PowerPoint and quick books accounting software.
  • Thorough understanding of program management, donor reporting requirements and managing donor relations.
  • Knowledge of carrying out audits of US CDC funding or USAID funded is an added advantage.
