RIVERS OF “FLYOVERS”; An Open Letter To Gov Wike ~ Ejike Ogoloma

Sharing is caring!

Dear Gov Wike,

It is now very obvious that you are bent on constructing another flyover at GRA junction against the wish of the majority of those you govern. Apparently we (The people) can’t change your decision because you have already secured approval from your stooges to get a loan from Access Bank Plc, the people can only have their say but not their way.

I may not fathom the rationale behind this unpopular decision of yours and your co-travellers but I know for sure that the proposed flyover is unnecessary for now, owing to the obvious fact that there is no traffic situation experienced at that junction currently, the traffic light is already doing the magic there.

I agree with you that Mummy B Road and Tombia extension requires expansion, therefore, I want to believe that the proposed flyover will be ascending from Mummy B road through Tombia road like that of Stadium road through G U Ake road. If this is near the true position of the proposed flyover at GRA junction, I want to sincerely appeal that you wait little more, to enable the Contractor make Garrison and Artillery road accessible for motorists.

Motorists are already struggling to pass through Rumuola junction because of the ongoing reconstruction of the existing flyover. If GRA junction is blocked, the pressure will be too much on Elekahia/Stadium road, Cocaine Village, Trans Amadi/Nkpogu junction and D/line axis.

In the light of the above Sir, It will be totally unreasonable and unfair to block GRA junction while these other major outlets (Garrison, Artillery and partial closure of Rumuola) remain closed.
