Faithfuls of the All Progressives Congress has extolled the role Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi, Gov. Kayode Fayemi, Nasiru El’Rufai and others, played in the victory of the just concluded gubernatorial election in ONDO state.
The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) declared the incubent Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, winner having polled 292,830 votes to defeat two other major contenders at the end of the contest.
Announcing the result, Chief Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka, said Mr. Etitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 195,780 votes, with Mr. Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) polling 69,127 votes.
Ameachi who had served in the capacity, Director General Buhari Campaign Organization for 2015, 2019, general elections, took his machinations to Ondo state and produced an overwhelming result.
Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi, said the people of Ondo state have spoken loud and clear, by the outcome of the election. It is a reaffirmation of the people’s faith in the APC Government, and the capacity of Governor Akeredolu to continue the transformation of the state by consolidating on his achievements and opening new frontier of development in the sunshine state.
