Below are some of the Australian university scholarships.
Bond University – Gold Coast, QLD
Excellence Scholarship – Europe, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Pakistan or India.
The Excellence Scholarship is awarded to international students who have proven academic achievement.
The scholarship is eligible to European citizens, or nationals from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Pakistan or India. Tuition fee scholarships of AUD$100,000 are awarded to international students from the above-named countries.
The tuition fee scholarship is paid in two installments over two semesters.
18 October 2019 for international students commencing in January 2020 semester
24 January 2020 for international students commencing in May 2020
Assessment based on Academic achievement and compelling supporting statements.
Note: some courses and programs are not eligible under the Excellence scholarships.
Murdoch University – Perth, WA
Murdoch University Academic Excellence Awards (MUAEA’s)
Murdoch University offers scholarships to international students with a track record of academic brilliance.
International students with a higher or equivalent GPA in bachelor’s degree courses may be eligible to apply for the scholarship. The Murdoch scholarship is valued at AUD$5,000 and is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. There is a total of 47 academic scholarships, with 12 for postgraduate students and 35 for undergraduate students.
Students can only submit an application for the scholarship once they have received a letter of offer from Murdoch University.
Upon receiving the offer letter, students are advised to fill out the scholarship application.
Scholarship for Scientific Excellence
International students who have indicated interest to study a course in the School of Engineering and Information Technology at Murdoch university may be eligible for this scholarship.
Interested students must have achieved exceptional academic performance in any STEM discipline or score an average grade of 92 percent or higher in their previous completed course before submitting an application to Murdoch university.
The value of the scholarship for undergraduate is AUD$20,000 and up to AUD$10,000 for postgraduate students.
Note: The scholarship application form is required to be completed online.
Western Sydney University -Sydney, NSW
International students commencing in the Spring of July 2019 or in 2020 are eligible for this scholarship. This means that after enrolling scholarship applications are not necessary.
International students who have vested interest in pursuing any of the CRICOS registered undergraduate degrees are eligible for this scholarship.
Recipients of the scholarships will receive a 50% tuition fees per session for a full-time enrolment up to a maximum of three years.
Important Dates: All applicants will be shortlisted and considered for the 2020 intakes.
Note: Students will only be eligible for this scholarship once they have been issued an offer letter from Western Sydney University.
University of Melbourne – Melbourne, VIC
Bachelor of Arts International scholarship
This scholarship is open only to international students from South Korea, India, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka (eligible countries are subject to changes). The scholarship offers international students a 25% or 50% tuition fee.
International students with brilliant academic records and who have demonstrated interest in studying in the following areas of art such as cultural or social studies, language, and literature, history, philosophy, culture, and history are eligible for AUD$5,000 bursary.
Important dates: Students must apply for a Bachelor of Arts course on or before 30 October to be automatically considered for semester 1 entry or submit an application for semester 2 on 31 March.
Bachelor of Commerce Undergraduate International Scholarships
International students with exceptional academic records who are seeking to study a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne may be eligible to submit an application for the Commerce Undergraduate International Merit Scholarship at the University of Melbourne.
For this scholarship, applications are not required to be considered; although the scholarship is highly competitive due to the limited slot. Only 10 scholarships are awarded hence the intense competition.
Recipients of this scholarship are selected by the university based on their most recent academic merit.
The scholarship grants a 50% tuition fee remission throughout the duration of the Bachelor of Commerce.
Important dates: Upon enrollment, all documents will be assessed, and you will be considered automatically for the scholarship if you are deemed fit.
