Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer
Location: Nigeria

About the Role
- As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and maintaining the backend systems that power our financial products.
- You’ll work within a mature Django architecture, owning critical domains.
- Beyond feature development, you’ll help shape engineering standards, improve system architecture, mentor other engineers, and ensure our platform remains scalable, secure, and highly reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework
- Build versioned APIs with clean architecture and separation of concerns
- Develop and maintain isolated financial domains with strict financial integrity
- Build reusable service layers and shared utilities while keeping business logic encapsulated
- Develop and maintain integrations with payment gateways, banking partners, identity verification providers, communication platforms, and card issuing providers
- Optimize PostgreSQL queries, improve database performance, and design safe migration strategies
- Build scalable asynchronous workflows using Celery and Redis
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and maintain high code coverage
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
- Help modernize the platform by moving business logic into explicit service layers and enforcing strong domain boundaries
- Work closely with infrastructure using Docker, AWS (S3, SES), Boto3, and Firebase
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of professional back-end development experience.
- Expert-level Python (3.12+)
- Strong Django and Django REST Framework experience
- Experience designing large production APIs
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and advanced Django ORM experience
- Database optimization and migration experience
- Experience building asynchronous systems with Celery and Redis
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Strong understanding of REST API architecture
- Experience writing automated tests using Django Test Client, factory_boy, and model_bakery
- Hands-on Docker experience
- Experience working with AWS services including S3 and SES
- Experience using Firebase
- Strong understanding of software architecture, clean code, and design patterns
Nice to Have:
- Fintech experience
- Experience with wallet systems, double-entry ledgers, payment gateways, card issuing platforms, and banking integrations
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Monitoring, observability, logging, and distributed tracing experience
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.
Salary
N550,000 monthly.

Job Title: Treasury Associate
Location: Nigeria

Role Summary
- The Treasury Associate supports the daily treasury operations of Expedier by monitoring account balances, processing treasury transactions, performing reconciliations, and assisting with liquidity management.
- The role ensures accurate records, timely transaction execution, and effective coordination with banks, payment partners, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily balances across bank accounts, wallets, and payment platforms.
- Process approved treasury transfers, account funding, and top-ups.
- Support the execution and tracking of OTC and offline transactions.
- Perform daily reconciliations of bank, wallet, and partner accounts.
- Follow up on pending transactions, settlements, and funding requests.
- Prepare weekly treasury balance and transaction reports
- Maintain accurate treasury records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with banks, payment processors, and liquidity partners on operational matters.
- Escalate liquidity shortages, reconciliation issues, and transaction exceptions promptly.
- Support treasury process improvement and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in Treasury, Finance, Banking Operations, or Reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
Salary
N311,000 per month.

Job Summary
- Are you a people-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships, engaging businesses, and helping customers get started with the right solutions?
- Expedier is looking for an Account Officer to join our team and support the onboarding and activation of business customers on Expedier for Business (EFB), our web-based business platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Onboard new business customers onto Expedier for Business (EFB)
- Engage prospective and existing business customers and guide them through the onboarding process
- Help businesses understand and effectively use EFB’s features and services
- Follow up with customers to ensure successful account setup and activation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend relevant Expedier solutions
- Maintain accurate customer records and onboarding information
- Work closely with the Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and other relevant teams to resolve customer issues and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Provide regular updates and reports on onboarding activities and customer progress
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team’s objectives
Who We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Sales, Business Development, or a related role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident engaging with businesses and decision-makers
- Strong customer relationship management and follow-up skills
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable onboarding customers and navigating digital platforms
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and follow-ups effectively
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or a related industry is an advantage
Salary
N311,000 per month.
