1). Heart of House Specialist

Position Summary

  • Our Utility Cleaners play a crucial role in supporting various essential functions within the hotel. In our hotels, these associates may work in different departments such as the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry to meet cleaning requirements. Whether it’s preparing fresh, clean linens and spotless dining ware for guests’ enjoyment, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dishwashing machines, handwash stations, linen washers, and dryers), or transporting dishware and linens throughout the hotel, these associates are dedicated to ensuring that the job gets done effectively.
  • Regardless of the specific role, there are key elements essential for success, including creating a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining high-quality standards, and presenting oneself in a professional manner, including uniform and personal appearance and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees and various departments.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve common goals.
  • Listen attentively and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Physically move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Reach overhead and bend, twist, pull, and stoop, including reaching below the knees.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

 

2). Cook I-Pastry

Location: Imo

Position Summary

  1. The role involves the preparation of bread and pastries, encompassing tasks such as dough preparation, filling, proofing, baking, and decorating as required. It also includes reviewing production sheets to understand the daily variety of baked goods to be produced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain kitchen logs to ensure compliance with food safety programs.
  • Inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials planning.
  • Utilize baking and measuring tools and equipment safely and appropriately to prepare baked goods.
  • Follow food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene guidelines.
  • Monitor kitchen appliances and food temperatures, reporting any issues to management.
  • Ensure food quality and portion control throughout the shift.
  • Assist management in various aspects including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees, serving as a role model.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including the proper uniform; uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and safeguard company assets.
  • Communicate effectively with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones following appropriate etiquette.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships, supporting the team in achieving common goals; handle sensitive issues with tact, respect, and confidentiality.
  • Act as a role model or mentor within the department.
  • Comply with quality expectations and standards.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and bend, twist, pull, and stoop, including reaching below the knees.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
