Job Role and Responsibilities

  • The primary role entails managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting functions of the Campus, reporting directly to the Chief Accountant who oversees the entire accounting process. Additionally, collaboration with finance leaders is expected to provide timely and accurate data for decision-making purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising billing processes and engaging with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Managing accounts receivables to ensure prompt collections and compliance with policies and budget controls for accounts payables.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate execution of month-end closing activities and monthly report preparation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory reports and collaborating with external auditors and consultants.
  • Directing and overseeing the performance of the Campus Accounts Team.
  • Maintaining a focus on accounting excellence within the Campus.

Financial Management:

  • Managing accounting and financial activities for the Campus, including billings, payments, receivables, payables, and invoicing.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate generation of school bills for all students.
  • Updating student records regularly as needed.
  • Reviewing Account Receivable processes for policy compliance and timely collection.
  • Reviewing Accounts payable processes and ensuring prompt payment of approved bills.
  • Monitoring statutory payments and providing advice on prompt settlement.
  • Supervising payroll processes and ensuring timely staff payments.
  • Quarterly reconciliation of PTA accounts and preparation of reports for PTA executives.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Reviewing and approving bank reconciliation statements prepared by team members.
  • Closely overseeing petty cash management.
  • Managing documentation and ensuring proper supporting documents for all transactions.
  • Maintaining ownership of all Campus-related ledgers with regular account analysis.
  • Ensuring adherence to proper close-the-books processes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Periodic review of balance sheets.
  • Overseeing budget monitoring and control at the Campus level.
  • Managing Campus treasury processes.
  • Preparing weekly Campus cash forecasts.
  • Taking responsibility for the Campus finance department’s budget.
  • Providing input for the development of enhanced accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinating activities within the department effectively.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
