Job Title: Civil QA / QC Engineer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract

Description 

• Quality inspection and monitor as per IFC drawing.
• Prepare QC documentation as per project scope.
• Coordinate /synergize with Site Project Team in delivering quality work.
• Good experience in Civil Engineering, QA/QC inspection and monitoring, Construction, Geotechnical investigation, and reporting.
• Routine inspection and surveillance of civil work and adequate co-ordination with site management.

Requirements

• HND / B.Eng Civil Engineering.
• Good experience in planning and projection to ensure the compliance of project schedule.
• Good knowledge of Civil code and standards.
• Good knowledge of Civil Engineering software i.e Excel and AutoCAD
• 9 – 13 years’ experience
• Industry Preference – Worked as Civil QA/QC Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plants etc.

Job Title: Civil Engineer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• The Civil Engineer shall be involved in the day-to-day activities both in the office and on the field/site.
• Study the construction drawings and calculate the quantities.
• Inspection at site to ensure the contractor has done the work as per approved construction drawings, maintain records of survey check, pile driving, concrete pour cards, bar bending schedules, shop drawings of structural steel etc.
• Maintain records of actual quantities of concrete, reinforcement, structural steel, inserts pile templates, bolts etc.
• Assessment and maintain variations.
• Maintain all quality documents such as method statements, job safety analysis, quality records and all measurements related to concrete and structural steel, non- conformances tec.
• Maintain measurements of civil and structural works on a day-to-day basics.
• Calculate concrete inserts from approved drawings and track the deliveries so that the inserts are delivered to site in time.
• Check contractors’ payment measurements for civil and structural work.
• Cost and Material estimation of Projects/Works.
• Prepare the drawings related to the project.
• Prepare Power Point presentations.
• Liaise with subcontractors, supervisor, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Communicate with higher authorities to keep them informed of work progress.
• Day to day management, supervising and monitoring the site work of any subcontractor involved in the project.
• Monitoring plan, organize the plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines of the project by subcontractor.
• Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Prepare daily work progress report as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• HND / B.Eng Civil Engineering.
• 9 – 13 years experience
• Industry Preference – Worked as a Civil Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plants, Water Treatment Plant etc.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Civil

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• To execute precision survey work for the implementation of projects – Civil and Structural engineering works.
• Conduct surveys on land site and properties
• Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy.
• Research and design methods for survey processes.
• Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features (e.g longitudes, latitude)
• Build maps, sketch, and charts.
• Supervise and provide guidance to filed staff.
• Maintain equipment.
• Report on survey result and present findings to Line Manager.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on current and future projects.

Qualification/ Requirements

• HND/B. Eng Surveying & Geo Informatics
• 9 – 13 years’ experience
• Surveyor Civil Engineer – Must have worked with a construction company with large industrial project and process.
• Previous experience as a surveyor in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of GPS and GIS
• Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software.
• Aptitude in math and problem solving.
• Attention to details.
• Great organizational and leadership skills.
• Industry Preference – Worked as a Civil QA/QC Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Construction Petrochemical, Power Plants, Water Treatment Plant etc.
