Description

  • We are looking to hire an experienced Social Media Manager for our client, a travel agency located at Gbagada, Lagos.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create and schedule high-quality content across various social media platforms.
  • Engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media practices and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure brand consistency.
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years experience
  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs.
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Travel and Tour Consultant will provide expert travel advice, create travel itineraries, and deliver exceptional customer service to clients seeking to travel for leisure or business.
  • Consult with clients to determine their needs and advise them on suitable travel options based on their requirements.
  • Plan and organize travels from booking tickets to accommodation, securing rental transportation, and organizing itineraries.
  • Offer and promote different services and offerings, such as package tours, excursions, and travel insurance.
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns.
  • Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
  • Create and update electronic records of clients.
  • Maintain relationships with key persons like hotel staff and tour operators.
  • Meet profit and sales targets.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees with 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Proven working experience as a travel consultant.
  • Excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems, and e-travel).
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach.
  • Well-versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc.).
  • Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
  • Proficient in Galileo / Amadeus.
