Job Title: Cashier / Inventory Officer

Locations: Ondo and Osun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Cashier shall have the primary responsibility of handling customer purchasing and payments while facilitating a good interaction/relationship with the customer.
  • The ideal candidate shall be responsible for processing and receiving payments and issuing receipts.
  • The cashier will be entrusted with the key responsibilities of complementing the customer shopping experience by evaluating the customer’s purchases, and handling the customers’ payments for goods and services while making the process as enjoyable and least stressful as possible.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving branch budgeted sales and profit targets.
  • Collecting payments for products either in cash or credit.
  • Maintain clean and tidy of the checkout stations and other equipment.
  • Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
  • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer
  • Deposit cash received to the bank
  • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate record of inventory sent to the station.
  • Resolving customers’ complaints.
  • Ensure products presented by customers are properly handled to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Cross-checking items presented for purchase by customers to see that they are in good condition.
  • Scanning all the items presented for purchase by the customer.
  • Have proper knowledge of all companies’ products and prices.
  • Processing various forms of tender e.g. cash, cheques, debit cards, and gift vouchers presented by the customer as means of payment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or any relevant field with 3-5 years experience
  • Computer Savvy
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Suites
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Proven experience as a cashier is an added advantage.

  • Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Lead/Marketing Manager, the sales executive will work directly on the field to develop and execute marketing and business strategies to maximize profitability, improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth.
  • You will provide the marketing information that will translate to building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals.
  • You will maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and help achieve expected sales targets.

Specific Responsibilities / Duties
Sales / Marketing:

  • Present, promote and sell Salpha Energy products using persuasive communication to existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure the growth of the company’s business through aggressive sales and techniques.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.

Record Keeping:

  • Keep a record of customers visited or sold to and update it regularly.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports.

Market / Product Research:

  • Perform cost-benefit, marketing intelligence and competitive and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Recommend new opportunities and service improvements.
  • Visiting customers and potential customers to evaluate needs and/or promote new Salpha Energy products.
  • Assist Management and the finance department to determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions and negotiations based on research done.
  • Liaise with the finance department to reconcile stock and products supplied.
  • Present market updates based on existing and potential customers’ needs and research scale done.

Customer Service/Relations:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of products to customers within your region of operation and across Nigeria where necessary.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or any Social Sciences related fields.
  • 3-5 years experience in sales and Business Development especially in FMCG companies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to close sales.
  • Good computer knowledge especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good knowledge of sales techniques.
  • Good knowledge of the job location and its environs as well as its business potential.
  • Excellent knowledge of B2B and B2C business models.

  • You will work closely with our Sales managers and other team members to ensure the successful completion of solar Installation while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install the company’s solar home system and panels, according to project specifications and design plans.
  • Perform electrical wiring, connections, and terminations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar energy systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the optimal placement of solar panels and assess shading and structural considerations.

Job Background

  • We are looking for a well-experienced and presentable driver.
  • As the driver, you are to plan and follow an efficient route for each delivery to maximize time.
  • You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the vehicle and observe every road safety measure.

Key Duties

  • Safely operate and maintain vehicles in compliance with local and international traffic regulations.
  • Transport personnel to and from specified locations in a timely and efficient manner.

  • The job location is on the Island. Our Ideal candidate should reside on the Island.
  • Working hours Monday – Saturday, 2 times a month for Sunday
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Good knowledge of roads within Nigeria.
  • Willing to work long and irregular hours, and on public holidays as required
  • Understanding of transportation law is an essential
  • Good traffic judgment
  • Good knowledge of car mechanics
  • Flexible, effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good in communicating in English, and any other Local Language.
