Job Title: Associate Product Manager

Job Summary

  • The Associate Product Manager will work as part of the Enterprise Products team to help Sun King design, develop, and implement intelligent, tech-enabled solutions to help solve a large variety of our business problems. We are looking for candidates with an affinity for technology and automations, curiosity towards advancement in products and strong communication skills for our in-house software development team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, prioritise and refine requirements while keeping team members well informed.
  • Create use cases, flow charts, mock screens, PRDs for business requirements, user requirements, functional & non-functional requirements and system requirements.
  • Work on the Go-To-Market / rolling out of new products/apps/automations and resolving stakeholder queries/issues.
  • Work with cross-functional groups and assist in the entire product lifecycle from design to development to launch.
  • Test applications/solutions/web panels at various stages of the life cycle.
  • Work with the development team/or independently on integrations (using 3rd party tools to create mobile applications).
  • Travel as per company requirements to places including but not limited to Kenya, India Uganda, Nigeria, Myanmar and Tanzania.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and prior 1-2 years of experience in software product management.
  • Experience of rolling out successful products in the past.
  • Able to structure and analyse ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly through workflows, feature descriptions etc.
  • Decent hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and SQL, and any designing tools like Figma etc.
  • Attention to detail and good documentation skills.
  • Proactive and have willingness to get hands dirty.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the team and diverse mix of stakeholders within the organization.

Job Title: PayGo Phone Manager

Location: Nigeria

Description 

  • The PayGo Phone Manager, Nigeria is a senior seasoned sales professional for the EasyBuy channel who will be focused on overseeing sales and distribution of our mobile phone operations and ready to expand Sun King’s massive sales network to all states across Nigeria through focus on bulk B2B, B2C and e-commerce sales of the mobile phones on the PayGo model.
  • This role, in partnership with the marketing team, is also tasked with driving the ecommerce uptake of the mobile phones. This is a management position which takes full strategic and tactical oversight for all functions of the direct sales business for our solar inverter series.

Responsibilities 
What you would be expected to do

Planning and Resourcing:

  • Be accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Operating Plan for mobile phone sales in Nigeria.
  • Be accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline for mobile phone sales per normal reporting cycles within the country.
  • Provide input to and contribute to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles.
  • Execute Go-to-market and E-commerce strategy in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders in order to cover the prioritized potential and business opportunities.
  • Will be in charge of aligning territories to market potential and priorities and assign optimal account management and modality specialist sales resources in conjunction with the modality teams.
  • Ensure that all direct reports have clear opportunity management activities and relationship-building plans to guarantee efficient coverage of territories, work with existing EBD channels and structures.
  • Drives performance management within the team, providing a regular operating mechanism of feedback, coaching, and managing the annual appraisal system.
  • Maintain up-to-date market and rival knowledge related to the full Sun King mobile phone range , communicate market intelligence and propose strategies to ensure that Sun King remains externally successful.

Direct Channel Management:

  • Recruitment, Training and Onboarding of direct reports to respective locations
  • Communicate sales targets to the PayGo Phone sales team and develop daily, weekly and monthly rigour to ensure achievement.
  • Develop Route To Market for the department to develop prospects by conducting home visits, key establishments including schools, churches, supermarkets, malls, restaurants, hospitals, etc.
  • Consolidate prospects from the direct sales team including agents and ABMs with the view of ensuring timely processing.

Corporate Sales Management:

  • Organized Institutional sales including HoReCas, MFIs and SMEs
  • Work with business development teams to develop partnerships with Key Retail Chains for shop-in-shop displays – gas stations, supermarkets, telcos, etc
  • Brand presence in trade fairs and corporate events.

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Digital Media Campaigns – alongside with the marketing team, develop Social media campaigns and promotions to drive traffic and sales
  • Develop targeted marketing activation campaigns in high-traffic locations including malls, gated communities, etc.

Customer Service:

  • Develop a client feedback and resolution dashboard to track customer issues and improve satisfaction.
  • Work with the After-sales Team on warranty complaints and After-sales service

Requirements
You might be a strong candidate if you

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in sales with practical field sales experience managing teams in vast geographies
  • Graduate from a recognized university with a minimum Degree qualification
  • Experience in mobile phone sales, corporates sales, e-commerce is an added advantage
  • Business Management skills with ability to organize, schedule, prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent Communication skills
