PreDiagnosis International – We are a Non-Governmental Organization whose objective is to deliver health care programs and services to address the gap in the health sector. Our major role is the maintenance, improvement of health through prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and injuries and other physical impairment in people who are vulnerable to diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. Our mission is to rescue 5 million vulnerable Nigerians by the year 2025.

At PreDiagnosis International, our objective is to deliver health-care programs and services to address the gap in the health sector.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Scientist

Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Complete and oversee a variety of tests, analysis, andresearch activities involving human samples, specimens, and products
  • Test and analyze a variety of samples, specimens, and materials of chemical composition andpresence of specific substances while following standardized analytical procedures
  • Manage and operate laboratory equipment, evaluate test results, and prepare reports for physicians
  • Receive urine, blood, andother samples for experimentation and analysis
  • Prepare standard volumetric solutions or reagents to be combined with specimens
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and inventories and orderrequired supplies when needed.
  • Maintain records and prepares reports as related to the work and regularly updates related departments (procurement & accounts department)
  • Responsible for performing complex tests on patient samples using sophisticated equipment.
  • Devises and adapts technical procedures & modifies equipment as needed

Requirements, Skills and Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the principles of biochemistry and microbiology.
  • Knowledge of laboratory tests, control techniques, departmental rules, regulations, and policies related to the work.
  • Knowledge of appropriate health, safety, and environmental regulations to provide for safe laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of computer application programs for laboratory activities and data management.
  • Ability to carry out laboratory procedures, tests, and analyses required in the work and to interpret results obtained.
  • Ability to set up, use, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports, records, and papers related to the work
  • Applicants residing in Nyanya and environs are a plus

Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Operating imaging equipment, and reviewing images to be sure they are of good quality and helpful for diagnosis
  • Identifying normal and abnormal imaging results, communicating a summary of the results to physicians or other health professionals, and alerting physicians to urgent problems
  • Preparing patients for procedures and educating patients throughout the ultrasound exam
  • Reviewing patient medical history, recording imaging results in patient records, and coordinating care with various departments within the hospital or clinic
  • Uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of many parts of the body, known as ultrasounds.
  • Acquire and analyze sonographic images.
  • Conduct and interpret initial imaging tests that may help narrow down a patient’s diagnosis and quickly get them the care they need.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Anatomy
  • Specializes in the varietiesof imaging
  • Precision attention to imaging protocols
  • Interpersonal skills and details-oriented

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Nyanya, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Functions

  • Preparing prescriptions for medication by selecting the appropriate drug, brand, form, strength, and quantity.
  • Ensures accuracy before processing and dispensing medications.
  • Maintains accurate patient medication records and checking druginteraction when dispensing as it is imperativeto informing andprotecting patients
  • Ensures prescribed dosage is safe and appropriate based on patientage, weight, and allergies
  • Helping patients locate medications and answering questions relating to prescription
  • Responsible for pricing prescriptions and research toascertainthe cost of the prescriptions.
  • Manage inventory by keeping track of the pharmacy inventory and proper storage of all medications
  • Responsible for cleaning the pharmacy prescription equipmentand maintainingother pharmacy records.
