We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Underwriting Department

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting healthcare provider audit, contracting, credentialing, onboarding, education and management
  • Developing and Reviewing allhealth plans and Deciding Premiums
  • Assessing each applicant’s medical history and establishing if they have any preexisting conditions
  • Maintaining strong relationship with clients to drive sales and network with new clients
  • Ensuring maximum client/enrolleessatisfaction and minimal complaints
  • Timely case Management and Vetting of bills for payments
  • Liaising with providers with a view to resolving claims issues
  • Providing technical assistance to the Health Services Department
  • Supporting business development activities, e.g. business presentations together with the team, preparation of bids and tenders, etc.
  • Carrying out medical quality assurance
  • Any other duties assigned by the Managementor the Designate

Requirements

  • First Degree in any discipline
  • Post Graduate qualification in any discipline
  • A Certification in Insurance is added advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience post-NYSC
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing HR Operations, recruitment & selection, learning and development (L&D), performance management and employee relations.
  • Managing the company’s physical assets and equipment.
  • Overseeing administrative matters including: Vendors, vehicle & drivers management, Supervise and manage all day-to-day office administrative activities.
  • Ensuring that HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Providing leadership in the implementation of approved budgets.
  • Ensuring smooth running of the overall organization and its facilities.
  • Maintaining, keeping and updating staff records.
  • Overseeing and motivating the organization’s human resources.
  • Supporting internal and external audit activities. Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management or the Designate.

Requirements

  • BSc/HND in Administration/Human Resources or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Administration / Human Resources or its equivalentorany relevant field
  • Membership of HR Professional body
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience post-NYSC
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role
  • Sound knowledge of human resources and labour law
  • Sufficient knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Additional understanding and knowledge of NHIAwill be appreciated
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines.

Purpose of Role

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for securing new revenue within the institution’s existing customer portfolio and seeking new opportunities for business growth.
  • The role is expected to have a focus on strategizing, and prospecting, for new customers.
  • The role ensures an excellent client experience at all times and works in collaboration with the Operations team to ensure the smooth transition of realizations of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Define and coordinate nationwide marketing programmes
  • Drive and implement all marketing activities to ensure brand and product awareness in the marketplace
  • Maintain relationships with customers and identify new prospects.
  • Possess a strong understanding of our products and our competitors in the industry.
  • Follow the latest industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers and other stakeholders by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new business opportunities.
  • Recommending profit and service improvements; Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Present to and consult with senior-level management on business trends to develop new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will increase customer base.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the organization’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Marketing, Actuarial Studies, or Business Administration from a reputable University.
  • A minimum of 10 Years of relevant professional experience in the HMOsector and/or Marketing sector is required
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • A proven track record in business delivery is very key.

  • Ability to achieve set targets.
  • Ability to develop long–term relationships with Customers.
  • Ability to maintain and develop new Business Partners account, and liaison with back office staff in processing new clients.
  • PC word processing, PowerPoint presentation, spreadsheet and database preparation and evaluation skills.
