Fidelity Bank Plc began operations in 1988 as Fidelity Union Merchant Bank Limited. By 1990, it had distinguished itself as the fastest growing merchant bank in the country. However, to leverage the emerging opportunities in the commercial and consumer end of financial services in Nigeria, in 1999, it converted to commercial banking and changed its name to Fidelity Bank Plc. It became a universal bank in February 2001, with a license to offer the entire spectrum of commercial, consumer, corporate and investment banking services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Branch Manager

Location: Nigeria 
Employment type: Full-time

Job Objectives

  • Introduce, define and develop a combination of operating processes, management systems, business structure and culture that gives the Bank the capacity to deliver on its values.
  • Responsible for generating activities that will help better team performance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that quality staff are recruited, motivated, trained and retained in particular branch, and ultimately, in the Bank.
  • Develop a marketing plan that will increase market share / penetration. Incumbent is expected to increase the business of the Branch by increasing the number of new accounts and developing new business areas.
  • Review the marketing plan of the branch and prepare target market study covering the industries / markets defined to serve
  • Prepare written call reports in format determined by management and periodically follow up “close” sales
  • Ensure adequate adherence to Credit policies, processes and procedures
  • Foster involvement in the ‘team’ concept by listening, sharing ideals and information in the interest of the Bank
  • Ensure customer facilities applications are thoroughly appraised, review all applications, and make appropriate recommendations / decisions
  • Conduct collateral inspections and appraisals. Assemble and process files and forward processed applications to management with recommendations
  • Monitor and initiate recovery action on non-performing loans
  • Identify needs of accounts holders / customers and buyer values and proactively seek to provide products / services to meet identified needs
  • Ensure new accounts are adequately coded to ensure proper MIS classification
  • Provide regular reports / updates for management attention
  • Provides leadership, coaching, training/development and supervision to all members of its team.
  • Participate in all marketing plans and strategy development initiatives for the Branch that will increase the market share/market penetration of the Branch.
  • Ensure prompt response to internal correspondences i.e. memos/mails from within the Bank requiring your attention and/or response.
  • Support other marketing and non-marketing staff junior to you through on-the-job coaching, in-house training and development and account management support.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements

  • Qualification: Minimum educational level – First Degree in Social Science or Accounting
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years working experience

Job Objective(s)

  • Webmaster: Testing websites across browsers, operating systems and devices. Monitoring online traffic and conversions.
  • Ensuring functionality and efficiency of the bank’s websites (internal and external platforms) and azure cloud services and servers.
  • Web Developer: Create web application frontend as per design specifications and information architecture. Integrate application frontend with application business layer.
  • Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross browser compatibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud based application design and development (Azure Web Apps –windows and Linux, Azure Web jobs, Azure Database for MySQL server, Azure Storage, Azure Logic App, Application Insights, Virtual Machines, Azure Cognitive Services) following some of DevOps principles like Automatic Build and Continuous Delivery/Integration, using Azure webapps deployment slots, and Infrastructure as Code with Azure Power shell.
  • Redesign, development and maintenance of the bank corporate, CSR, Savings Promo (GAIM), Investor Relations, SME, Private Banking and other aspects of the corporate websites.
  • Debug and Troubleshoot issues that may arise with the performance of the bank’s websites.
  • Content management on both Intranet and internet-based applications.
  • Interface for performance issues: Address issues with our hosting company (Microsoft) to avoid downtime.
  • Review statistics and monitor analytics: Provides analysis of website’s traffic and creates conversion paths so that the marketing team can monitor their efforts.
  • Maintain responsive design: Stay up to date on the web’s latest technologies and make sure the site and its products are always mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready.
  • Plan for future changes to the bank’s websites.
  • Stay current with software and hardware that can improve the success of our online business and implement those changes.
  • Use of creative and marketing skills to help generate leads, brand awareness, sales and promote customer service through the website.
  • Ensure that the website is free from cyber-attack, study tools online consistently to optimize our website and digital marketing initiatives.

Qualification

  • First Degree (Second Class minimum) or HND (Upper Credit) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any related course

Certifications:

  • Below certifications will be an advantage
  • Azure Administrator Certifications

Previous Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience designing and developing web applications on both Intranet and internet-based applications.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Portal.
  • Working Knowledge of programming languages, operating system, and internet applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Experience / Skills:

  • Good knowledge in Engineering and computer science.
  • Good knowledge of all scripting and programming languages, operating systems and Internet applications.
  • Be familiar with Web design and development tools and understand the requirements of standards bodies such as the World Wide Web Association.
