Miva Open University is an education company building a new kind of university targeted at the African region. Miva is a Pan- African Distance e-Learning University that is built on a couple of beliefs: Firstly, we believe that the traditional brick and mortar approach to tertiary education is no longer a viable option in serving learners on the African continent. This approach will not provide the capacity and efficacy for the people of the region.
We are building a university experience that can leverage excellent academic talent (wherever it is to be found) and digital technologies to create a new, fresh, more efficacious and more accessible tertiary experience. Our second belief is that this new tertiary experience must not only meet but exceed the existing way of doing things in terms of quality, efficacy and preparing learners for the future. Description
We seek highly motivated and experienced individuals in any of the courses below to join Miva Open University as part-time faculty to deliver live synchronous lessons, office hours, grading, question curation, and support to students:
- Public Policy Analysis (Minimum qualification: PhD)
- Public Financial Management (Minimum qualification: PhD)
- Organisational Theory and Behaviour (Minimum qualification: PhD)
- Public Personnel Management (Minimum qualification: PhD)
- Introduction to Entrepreneurial Financing & Entrepreneurial Marketing & Financial Management
- Theories of Entrepreneurship & Management Theory & Supply Chain Management
- New Media Studies for Entrepreneurs & Principles of Sustainable Development & Business Communication Skills for Entrepreneurs
- Innovation Management, E-Commerce & Business Start-up
- Business Law & Venture Creation
- History of Economic Thought & Project Evaluation
- Financial Accounting I & Intermediate Accounting I
- Introduction to Information Systems for Information Technology & Introduction to Information Technology

Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the subject area and possess a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in their respective fields.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for fostering student success through effective teaching and course design.
