Federal Bilateral Education Scholarship Details
The Federal Bilateral Education Scholarship (BEA) is offered by the Ministry of Education for eligible Nigerians.
- Undergraduate Studies: Available in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria.
- Postgraduate Studies: Available in Russia (for those with Russian first degrees), China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.
Fields of Study:
- Undergraduate Level:
Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (limited slots), Pilot Engineering, and Neurology. - Postgraduate Level (Master’s & PhD):
All fields of study are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for the 2025 FSB BEA Scholarship
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must have at least seven distinctions (A’s and B’s) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates (WASSCE/WAEC), including English and Mathematics.
- Certificates should not be older than two years (2022 & 2023 for non-African countries; 2023 for African countries).
- Age requirement: 17–20 years.
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Must hold a First Degree with at least a First Class or Second Class Upper Division.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Age requirement:
- Master’s: Up to 35 years
- PhD: Up to 40 years
- Must provide an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and proof of employer’s consent (if employed).
