Job Title: Business Development Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Abeokuta – Ogun, Akure – Ondo, Ibadan – Oyo, Osogbo – Osun, Benin – Edo, Port Harcourt – Rivers, Onitsha – Anambra & Warri – Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

Requirements

  • BSc. Marketing or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification relevant experience in the Insurance/Microfinance sector.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Implement marketing strategies to sell new insurance contracts/existing ones.
  • Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking.
  • Creating, Marketing, and reporting on all initiatives and outcomes within their subunits.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating and executing strategic plans to achieve branch objectives.
  • Providing effective leadership and mentorship to the branch team.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Monitoring and optimizing branch performance against set metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities within the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Adminsitration, or a related field. Masters and professional qualification can be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualificationn relevant experience in a similar job position in the insurance/microfinance sector.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products and industry.

  • Represent corporate and individual client interests and execute instructions diligently
  • Liaise with government agencies in the execution of client’s instructions
  • Write opinions, advise solicitors and other professionals
  • Understand and interpret the law
  • Master and manage legal briefs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law
  • 7–12 years of post-NYSC experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents
  • Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
