Requirements
Below are the eligibility criteria for the conversion exercise:
- Not more than than 32 years.
- Minimum academic qualification is B.Sc. degree with Second Class Lower or HND Upper Credit from institutions accredited by NUC or other regulatory bodies approved by government.
- Possession of higher degree(s) and/or relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, will be a distant advantage.
- Must have worked in the Bank for a minimum of 1 year as a non-core staff.
- Sound moral and ethical conduct with no disciplinary records.
- Evidence of mandatory NYSC scheme or Exemption Certificate.
Skills:
Interested Service Executives must possess the following skills set:
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong Interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Analytical skills
- Self-driven and results-oriented
- Highly innovative with excellent problem-solving skills
- Good team player
- Familiarity with global financial trends and developments

Job Title: Team Lead, Innovation Opportunity Management

Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify innovative opportunities that align with the Bank’s strategic objectives
- Review emerging trends within the Banking industry as well as other applicable industries
- Assess and prioritize potential innovation opportunities in line with approved evaluation criteria
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders in developing detailed business cases for identified innovation initiatives
- Coordinate the implementation of innovation initiatives across BUs through Innovation Champions to ensure adherence to approved implementation guidelines.
- Proactively manage changes in initiative scope, identify potential crisis/risks, and devise contingency plans to provide solutions and take corrective action
- Review executed innovation initiatives against approved Business Case and prepare relevant reports /presentations for the Bank’s Innovation committee.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Head, Enterprise innovation unit
- As part of the Bank’s Information Security requirements, maintain the security of all Information entrusted to the staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook.
Requirements
Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum grade of 2.2
- Project Management certification will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of ten years relevant working experience working in an innovative environment covering a range of multiple functional areas
- Experience with managing idea generation and management process
- Experience that spans across start-ups and large corporate environments with extensive network within the startup ecosystem
- Experience with Program Management or Project Management Office desirable
- Supervisory experience.

- Monthly independent review and validation of positions, income recognition, valuation and all other accounting treatments of financial instruments, derivatives and all Treasury products to ensure appropriateness.
- Daily monitoring and validation of Risk, positions & P&L arising from the bank’s treasury products and activities
- Monthly review of Value at Risk, valuation and other computations prepared by Market & Liquidity Risk Department.
- Advise treasury where necessary on P& L postings, reconciliations, analysis, adjustments, attribution, and on weaknesses in treasury processes and controls.
- Perform monthly stress tests and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of movements in factors such as interest rates, exchange rate, prices etc on the bank’s treasury portfolio.
- Monitor daily to ensure that trading activities are done within approved limits, render reports on breaches as required, and ensure positions are marked to market periodically per policy.
- Prepare and submit monthly Income attribution, independence validation & assurance, portfolio performance and risk reports to the Financial Controller and CFO.
- Participate in product paper review and set-up of relevant product and accounting parameters in all solutions and applications used for treasury activities.
- Stay up to date with current trends in financial markets and advise the Financial Controller, CFO & Management on implications for the bank’s treasury portfolio.
- Make recommendations to management on best practices that minimize risk and maximize the profitability of the treasury books.
- Preparation of disclosures on financial instruments in the financial statements.
- Provide support in monthly account closing activities and preparation of financial and management accounts as it relates to products
- Perform any other duty assigned by the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or any related field.
- Must possess at least 15 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- CFA or ACA/ACCA; Accounting or related Bachelors.
