Job Title: Head of Software – Telecom Applications

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Operations, Architecture, Solutions and Project delivery team, driving and entrenching a bi-modal delivery culture in IS and putting in place a reliable support system with clear processes and procedures and tools for measuring solution and projects delivery and performance.
Investigate new applications in support of Company’s strategy and lead the process of selection of suitable technologies and manage related negotiations with suppliers accordingly.
Review the array of technologies available for Company processes and advise business users of the best possible solutions based on their requirements, growth, emerging technologies and Company’s objective.
Define Solution and Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines, and blueprints.
Enable an agile and integrated architectural environment contributing to a more robust landscape, increased revenue. agility, standardization, reusability, time to market, simplicity and reducing risks, duplication and failures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science would be added advantage.

Experience, Attributes & Skills Required:

Minimum of 15 year’s experience in software development in telecoms environment.
Strong DevOps focus and experience building, deploying and operating infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, etc.
Experience in Enterprise Architecture, web services, Front and Backend Application design and development.
Extensive knowledge of Micro Services architecture.
In-depth knowledge of Project Management principles, disciplines, software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
Proficiency in various programming languages.
Windows, Linux and Unix experience required.
Experience with Scrum / Agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Endpoint Detection and Protection compliance for Desktops and Servers.
Generate endpoint threat report and review threat incidents / sources and take remediation actions on identified threats.
Process User Access Request within 2 hours of final approval. Such access requests include applications such as Siebel, CBS, SIM Reg, Hermes, email, Internet, RA VPN and the likes.
Implement Cisco / Sophos firewall access request and ensure optimal rulesconfigurations.
Monitor and maintain current knowledge of emerging security alerts, logs, incidents, threats and trends.

Master’s Degree in Computer Science would be added advantage.

Experience, Attributes & Skills Required:

3-5years of IT security related workexperience or additional work experience equivalent in Security.
Strong IT skills and knowledge in Cisco Firewall configuration/operation, Sophos NGX Firewall, Endpoint Detection and Response, Network & Protocols and Software.
Security certifications is added advantage.
