- This job will be at two places that Discovery Land Company owns: Dune Deck Beach Club, which is near Westhampton Beach, and The Hills in East Quogue, New York.
Dune Deck Beach Club is looking for seasonal, full-time Housekeepers. These Housekeepers will also help keep the public areas nice. You would be part of the Residential Services team for the summer of 2025. The job would start around April 20, 2025, and end around September 30, 2025. If you need to extend your work visa, they might be able to help with an H2B visa sponsorship if you are already in the country.
As a Housekeeper, you will make sure that everything is clean, tidy, and welcoming in the special neighborhood. You will keep the clubhouse, common areas, fun places, and private homes looking great so that everyone is happy. You will work with the managers to give excellent service and make sure everything is super clean. In this job, you will help make the Discovery Land Company experience awesome for the people who live there and the people you work with.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeper
- You will clean fancy rental homes and condos.
- You will make the beds and put on clean sheets.
- You will take all the dirty sheets and towels to the laundry area.
- Then, you will put the clean sheets and towels back.
- You will clean bathrooms and make sure there is enough soap and paper.
- You will vacuum the carpets and sweep and mop the floors.
- You will clean the kitchens, including washing dishes.
- You will empty all the trash cans and put in new bags.
- You will clean the glass on windows and doors.
- You will dust the furniture, pictures, and shelves.
- You will do extra cleaning on things like ceilings, vents, and walls.
- You need to keep the information of the members and guests private.
- You might need to tell the manager how much work you did for billing.
- You might have other jobs that the manager asks you to do.
- Clubhouse Housekeeper / Public Area Attendant
- You will regularly clean the clubhouse and other fun places, like vacuuming and dusting.
- You will clean and make sure the bathrooms are germ-free and have enough supplies.
- You will keep track of the cleaning supplies so you don’t run out.
- You will empty the trash cans and put in new bags.
- You will make sure all the public areas look clean and nice.
- You will clean the furniture and make sure it’s in good shape.
- If the clubhouse manager needs something cleaned quickly, you will help.
- If you see anything that needs to be fixed, you will tell the right person.
- You will follow all the safety rules to stay safe at work.
- You will learn about new cleaning ways to do your job even better.
- You will also wash the towels from the pool, spa, and gym.
Qualifications
- You should have finished high school.
- H2B Visa Sponsorship: They are looking for people already in the US with an H2B visa who want to stay longer for the summer.
- It’s good if you have at least 3 months of experience as a housekeeper.
- It’s also good if you have experience cleaning in nice homes or hotels.
- You should know a lot about cleaning products and how to clean well.
- You should know the rules about health and safety at work.
- You should always be careful when using machines and chemicals.
- You need to pay attention to small details and keep everything very clean.
Additional Requirements
- You should be friendly, act professionally, and talk to people well.
- You need to be able to work different hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Sometimes you might have to work long hours.
- You might need to work at The Hills club in East Quogue sometimes, and they can give you a ride.
- You need to be able to work with other people.
- You need to stay calm and focused when things get busy.
- You need to be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Knowing other languages is a plus.
- You need to be able to do the physical parts of the job, like standing, walking, lifting heavy things (sometimes up to 50 pounds), and working inside and outside in all kinds of weather.
