FG Launches YEIDEP Grant to Empower Youth Entrepreneurs |Application Guide Young People’s Businesses About to Get a Big Help from the Federal Government through Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP)

The Federal Government is getting ready to give out money to help them through a program called the Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme, or YEIDEP for short. The Federal Government says they will start giving out these grants in July 2025! This is a big step by the Federal Government to help young Nigerians and make small businesses in the country stronger.

What is YEIDEP All About?

YEIDEP is a special plan made by the government to help young people. Lots and lots of young people, over 4.6 million from all over Nigeria, have already signed up for YEIDEP! The program will give out money, called grants, that you don’t have to pay back. These grants can be from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000! This money is to help young people start or grow their businesses in important areas like farming, computers, making clothes, selling things, and learning trades. The main goal of YEIDEP is to give young Nigerians the money they really need to get their small businesses going, especially if they live in places where it’s harder to get help.

How Will YEIDEP Work?

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development is working with a group called Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI) to run YEIDEP. This program isn’t just about giving out money. It’s also about helping young people become entrepreneurs, come up with new ideas, and make the country’s economy better for everyone. The people in charge of YEIDEP say that they will choose the young people who have the best ideas that can really work, last a long time, and help others.
