We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Completions Engineer III
Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
Main Functions
- Prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of planning and completing a
- well
- Ensure the geological and reservoir objectives of the well are met while assuring the highest
- standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied to the well
- design and execution.
- Prepare designs and well plans representing the optimal costs and investments for the wells.
- In a Technical role, provide review and support to Drill team designs and operations describednin the Main Functions: above, as well as evaluate and progress new technology. Could
include subsea technology.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, review, and approval process associated with a comprehensive completions program.
- Primarily responsible for:
- Preparation of cost estimates for selection of optimal alternatives
- Material and equipment selection and evaluation.
- Government regulatory requirements, approvals and permits.
- Technical bid preparations and analysis.
- Work closely with other groups to assure the program is based on all available geological and
- reservoir information and drilling information from other wells in the area.
- Provide completion surveillance and engineering assessments and presents recommendations
- to Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems.
- Provide surveillance and technical assistance on development projects, equipment testing and new procedures.
- Work in conjunction with safety, environmental and field operations personnel to optimize
- safety performance
- Responsible for new completions and workovers including the execution and completion of
- timing projects; post evaluation of capital projects and financial accruals of timing projects
- Will act as interface/liaison engineer with joint venture partner.
- Identify opportunities for better application of completions technology to decrease completion
- costs and timing efficiencies
- Prepare cost analyses, estimates for the completion costs; partner with Drilling to plan
- completion costs
- Facilitate the preparation and monitor capital budgets relating to completions and well design.
- Ensure accurate and sustainable quality of data for timing projects
- Interact daily with completion foreman, drilling leadership, etc.
- Interact with completion Service Company representing to improve efficiency operations and
- cost out lays
- Identify and apply industry best practices as applicable
- Work in conjunction with safety, environmental and field operations personnel to optimize safety performance.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Broad and extensive knowledge of completions design, equipment, operations, standards and
- specifications. This could include subsea systems technology.
- Strong personal effectiveness in leadership, communications, interpersonal skills, and teamwork
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
- Extensive well management expertise and advanced proficiency in the following skill areas: Wellbore Hydraulics, Well Performance, Completion Design, Workover Design, Fluid Flow & Hydraulics, Well Integrity Management, Operations Support and Surveillance, Artificial Lift, Subsurface Equipment, Wellheads, Trees & Surface Equipment, Wellwork Units, Surveillance & Optimization, Maintenance & Reliability System, Well Surveillance and Well Performance, Capacity Enhancement and Operations Support and Surveillance.
- Local and regional offshore experience
- Legacy MPN experience is an advantage.

Job Title: Wells Advisor III
Location: Nigeria

Job Summary
- The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role.
- In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations.
- Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization.
- Wells Advisors are essential to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinates local construction, well, or drilling contractors during the multiple phases of operations Evaluates, qualifies, and oversees local contractors to ensure Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) license to operate commitments are implemented.
- Creates and stewards accurate location plat drawings for use in regulatory permitting and government interface purposes
- Manages all aspects of the related process acting as the company representative, ensuring that the well site is constructed in accordance with the approved location plat Interacts with project teams and supports security location modifications as necessary
- Attends meetings and represents function as necessary
- Verifies cost estimates and invoices, confirming that work scope was completed as per agreed contractual commitments
- Provide operational and drilling construction reference to PMT during detail design development, construction and commissioning of drilling components of offshore platform
- Primary interface between Topsides design team, O&M Contractor and Drilling Operations team
- Ensure the Drilling Equipment Set (DES) and Drilling Support Module (DSM) are safe and meet company expectations in regard to fit for purpose (e.g., equipment sizing/rating, laydown area, storage)
- Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers.
- Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines.
- Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities.
- Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
- Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations.
- Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s and package acceptance
- Review and respond to spec deviation requests
- Review drawings and specifications
- Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor)
- Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures Support construction and commissioning efforts as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably)
- Advanced analytical and computing skills
- Experience required in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design
- Adaptability to changing priorities
- Extensive experience in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to organize and progress own work schedule
- Experience working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders
- Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO)
- Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs; responsibilities include:
- Research and understand drill well hazards by reviewing historical offset well information
- Utilize wellbore geologic and reservoir objectives to develop a well plan
- Prepare cost estimates for well design options
- Identify and organize equipment required to execute the drill well plan inclusive of material selection
- Design wells to meet regulatory requirements
- Prepare and analyze technical bids for goods and services
- Survey daily operations
- Provide rig site drilling and completion surveillance and engineering assessments of critical activities
- Provide surveillance and technical assistance for projects, equipment testing and new procedures
- Interface with and solicit input from operations personnel to ensure well plans are feasible
- Work closely with other functions, such as geology, reservoir and projects, to ensure that the program is based on all available information and meets well objectives
- Depending on the program, deep water experience may be required (knowledge of subsea systems, riser analysis, subsea well control systems, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications
- B.Sc Degree in engineering or related technical field
- Experience in deep water drilling operations if filling a deep water drilling engineering position
- Able to effectively organize and communicate thoughts
- Experience with well design software as well as Microsoft applications
- Read, write and speak fluent English
- Industry experience with well planning and execution
- Local and regional offshore experience
- Legacy MPN experience is an advantage
