Requirements

• B.Sc / B.Eng Degree in Mechanical Engineering; M.Sc. desirable.

Job Title: University Bursar

Location: Iloro-Ekiti, Ekiti

The Positions

• The University Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the University. He/she will be in charge of the three broad functions of a CFO, namely:
  1) Financial Controls,
  2) Treasury Management, including relationships with financial institutions and
  3) Financial Planning and Budgeting.
• He/she shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the financial affairs of the University.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Hold a good honours degree in Accounting or a related field and possess a recognized professional qualification. Additional qualifications such as FCA, MBA, or M.Sc. are an advantage.
• Have a minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in a university or comparable institution.
• Have served for at least three (3) years as Deputy Bursar in a university or as Financial Controller in a reputable organization.
• Be a registered member of a recognized professional accounting body.
• Be highly proficient in ICT and modern financial management systems.
• Be of sound physical and mental health and not more than 65 years old at the time of resumption.
• Demonstrate proven integrity, discipline, accountability, strong leadership and people-management skills, and the ability to provide timely solutions to complex financial matters.

Terms and Tenure

• The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years.
• Remuneration and other conditions of service are comparable to those obtainable in reputable private universities in Nigeria.
