Purpose of Role

  • The Senior Application Support Analyst is responsible for supervising other support analysts and managing the organization’s application portfolio, which includes ERP, CRM, and various other applications. This role requires a deep understanding of application development, lifecycle management, support, troubleshooting, and a proactive approach to ensure the smooth operation of the website and software systems. Collaboration with other department leaders is essential to ensure that IT serves as a business enabler across the organization. Ideally, the candidate may have prior aviation management experience and a track record of effective team management and results-driven leadership.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

 

 

Application Support & Portfolio Management:

  • Take ownership of the diverse application portfolio, including ERP, CRM, and other applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements, enhancements, and changes.
  • Provide advanced technical support for applications, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex application-related issues.

Continuous Improvement, Documentation & Training:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in application support and maintenance.
  • Proactively implement changes to enhance application stability and performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users on best practices for utilizing applications effectively.

Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with external software vendors and service providers to coordinate all levels of support and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of vendor-related issues and escalations in line with agreed SLAs.

 

 

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security best practices for application access and data protection.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Educational Qualification / Knowledge / Experience

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • An M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is an added advantage.
  • ITIL and SQL certification.
  • Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in application support, with a focus on managing complex application portfolios and deploying business applications.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting application issues and system integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, technology stack, .Net, MS SQL, Dynamics, Power BI, and API Integration Platforms.

2). Base Maintenance Coordinator

Location: Nigeria

Role Description

  • The Base Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all scheduled Heavy maintenance events are meticulously planned and executed on time, within the agreed budget, and to the required quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the main focal point for Aircrafts during Base Maintenance Checks.
  • Ensure that the Check work package is prepared and delivered to the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility on time.
  • Conduct pre-Check input meetings at intervals that align with the Base maintenance plan.
  • Monitor material readiness before the C Check induction and escalate any material availability issues to the relevant departments.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to different Technical Representatives at Base maintenance Check locations.
  • Review the Base Maintenance Daily Status Report for correctness and accuracy.
  • Ensure that the Maintenance provider adheres to contractual terms.
  • Enforce compliance with the company’s procedures and standards during Base maintenance.
  • Act as a liaison between the MRO and the Airline to assist in resolving technical defects that arise during the Base Maintenance check.
  • Contribute to Base maintenance budget planning and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Offer technical and logistical support as needed to ensure the timely completion of the Base Maintenance check.
  • Establish critical materials requirements for the Base Maintenance check and monitor their timely availability.
  • Assist APL Quality with investigations related to Base maintenance inputs and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on Base maintenance Check performance.
  • Compile the Post Maintenance report for all completed checks, including critical tasks, materials, and other resources affecting the check’s progress. Organize post maintenance review meetings with stakeholders to analyze these aspects and define corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by the Head of Maintenance.

3). Contract Support Specialist/Executive

Location: Nigeria

Objective

  • The primary objective of this role is to oversee the review of supplier contract terms and conditions, ensuring a balance between risk management and commercial objectives as provided by various user departments such as CAMO, Stores, Maintenance, and Procurement. Additionally, the role involves tasks related to tenders, drafting and reviewing various standard forms of agreements, and contributing to revenue generation and cost savings through effective contract management.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial

  • Negotiation: Negotiate on behalf of APL, with a specific focus on Engineering & Procurement, in alignment with cost-saving goals, service levels, and revenue expectations. This includes commercial terms related to maintenance agreements, engineering service agreements, long-term component repair contracts, and contracted component support agreements (PBH/CSP/POOL Access, etc.).
  • Submission and Liaison: Submit and collaborate with user departments and legal teams on defined and agreed-upon contract terms.
  • Recommendations: Provide recommendations for commercial terms in the best interests of the company to the head of supply chain.
  • Co-ordination and Communication: Coordinate and communicate internally within the department and the company regarding GTA (General Terms and Agreements) and contractual obligations. Ensure all stakeholders understand and agree to the negotiated terms.
  • Financial Considerations: Liaise with relevant personnel in accounts regarding rebates, credits, or financial liabilities before finalizing agreements with suppliers.
