Invitation for Applications: AIIDEV Africa’s Teach4SDGs Cohort 4, a 12-week immersive training program AIIDEV Africa has unveiled the fourth cohort of Teach4SDGs, aimed at fostering sustainable development and educating upcoming generations on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This 12-week program entails over 10 advanced workshops, lectures, comprehensive readings, assessments, and practical projects to enable educators to delve deeper into the SDGs. Participants will gain insights into all 17 SDGs and their targets, along with pertinent subjects like Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability, Green Economy, Circular Economy, Sustainable Waste Management, Project Management, and Technology and Innovation for Educators.
Teach4SDGs aims to empower primary and secondary school teachers with the necessary resources to educate future generations for a sustainable world. The initiative seeks to furnish teachers with the knowledge, skills, and tools to effectively teach students about the SDGs and integrate them into the current curriculum. By embedding SDG-focused education into the curriculum, the project strives to advance sustainable development, enhance awareness, and inspire action towards realizing the SDGs.
It’s essential to note that Teach4SDGs will be conducted exclusively in English, and applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the language. Applications submitted in languages other than English will be ineligible. The program will be held virtually through various learning and communication platforms. Applicants are advised to ensure access to a stable internet connection for participation.

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Open to Primary and Secondary School Teachers from both Public and Private Schools across Sub-Saharan African nations.
- Able to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours on 2 days per week for the duration of the training program. All sessions will be conducted in English.
- Age requirement: 20 – 45 years.
- Capable of participating in virtual training and leading SDGs Activation in your school.
- Passionate about fostering student understanding of the SDGs.
- No prior knowledge of the SDGs 2030 required.
