After the delegation
Once a summit concludes, delegates become members of our esteemed alumni community. Comprising over 250 young leaders that have participated in a YDC program over the last 10 years, the YDC alumni community represent some of Canada’s brightest students and professionals from coast to coast to coast.
YDC alumni receive unique opportunities year-round to attend international conferences, participate as speakers on youth panels and contribute their voices in written publications for government, NGOs and advocacy groups. Outside of these professional development opportunities, our alumni make an important contribution to internal YDC functions. Each recruitment cycle, interested alumni help refer eligible candidates to our forum application pages, interview candidates alongside YDC Executive staff and help prepare new delegates by participating in training calls.
