Queen Mary University of London Undergraduate Scholarship Details:
Queen Mary University of London is offering comprehensive financial and tuition support to up to two undergraduate students who are asylum seekers or have temporary immigration status as a result of an asylum claim made outside standard immigration regulations.
This scholarship is available for students enrolled in degree programs within the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Selected applicants will receive a full tuition fee waiver and maintenance support, including a non-repayable bursary of £1,700 and a living cost grant. The living cost grant amount varies depending on accommodation circumstances: £8,877 for students residing in a parental home, or £13,762 for those living independently.
Support will cover the typical length of your course. If extra funding is required for changes such as a course transfer or a repeat year, the request will be individually reviewed by a selection panel.
Eligibility Criteria for Queen Mary University of London Sanctuary Scholarship 2025
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

Hold a temporary immigration status due to an asylum claim (e.g., limited leave to remain, discretionary leave to remain, or humanitarian protection), or

Be an asylum seeker or the child of an asylum seeker

Be ineligible for Student Loan Company funding due to immigration status

Have submitted a UCAS application for an undergraduate program in either the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences by January 29, 2025
