Job Title: Network Optimization Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Network Optimization Engineerwho will beresponsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network performance metrics (latency, throughput, packet loss, jitter, etc.) to identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement.
  • Plan and implement optimization strategies to enhance capacity utilization, stability, and overall quality of service (QoS).
  • Conduct regular audits of network configurations, routing protocols, and traffic flows.
  • Collaborate with planning and operations teams to design network upgrades, expansions, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA requirements for voice, data, and video services.
  • Implement traffic engineering and load-balancing solutions to optimize resource usage.
  • Troubleshoot chronic network performance issues and recommend long-term fixes.
  • Work closely with vendors and OEMs for advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and documentation on network health and optimization activities.
  • Support field and NOC teams with advanced performance troubleshooting.

  • Reduction in network downtime and outages.
  • Improved SLA compliance and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Successful completion of network optimization projects within timelines.
  • Increased efficiency in bandwidth and resource utilization.
  • Automation of repetitive network optimization tasks.

Key Attributes and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in telecom or ISP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and traffic engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, etc.).
  • Proficiency in network monitoring/optimization tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.).
  • Experience in QoS, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
  • Familiarity with SDN, NFV, and cloud networking is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary Range
N250,000 – N350,000 / month.

Job Title: Network Support Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Brief

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Support Engineer to ensure smooth running, monitoring, and maintenance of the network infrastructure, providing technical support to customers and internal teams, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of internet services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level support for network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults on routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and other network equipment.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability using NMS (Network Monitoring Systems).
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level engineers or vendors.
  • Handle customer complaints, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and provide timely resolution.
  • Support business and enterprise customers with dedicated internet or leased line connections.
  • Configure and troubleshoot CPEs (Customer Premises Equipment) like routers, modems, and wireless APs.

  • Generate reports on network performance, outages, and SLA compliance.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation for customers and internal use.
  • Work with the network engineering team to optimize and upgrade network infrastructure.
  • Participate in projects such as capacity upgrades, new service rollouts, and system integrations.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to improve service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 – 4 years of experience in network support, preferably in an ISP environment.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA, MikroTik MTCNA/ MTCRE) are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with network devices (Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Juniper, Huawei, etc.).
