Job Title: Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of suppliers / vendor invoices for payment
  • Maintaining the creditors’ schedule
  • Ensure daily/weekly collection of Bank statements and   confirmation of cheques
  • Manage all forms of payment (internet banking, Remita, interswitch etc)
  • Keeping the financials documents organized and filed
  • Detect and eliminate errors in payment request
  • Confirm all retirement before another cash advance is processed for a staff
  • Ensure posting of items received by the store into appropriate Trade Creditor’s account
  • Verify all intercompany transactions across businesses – review and sign off on all intercompany transactions across the divisions
  • Confirm on monthly basis that charges on COT and Interest are in line with the agreed rate.
  • Perform any other related duties from time to time

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of university degree or HND Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of 1 years post professional qualification experience.

Functional Competencies / Requirements:

  • Skill to improve risk management through reduction/transparency of cash balances
  • Banking transaction execution and settlement skill
  • Cash and investment reporting skill
  • Compliance to audit observation as to the segregation of duties with reference to back office functionality of recording transactions through a systematic driven authorization/execution process

Job Title: Revenue Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities
Managing Cash Assets:

  • Review daily cash position report
  • Prepare monthly cash forecast, cash flow report (Source and Application of fund)
  • Monitor and follow-up with investments placement including interest and roll-overs
  • Review imprest system and cashier’s float, to ensure they are properly accounted for
  • Review daily sales and daily lodgement verification

Bank Oversight:

  • Monitor daily bank balances to ensure payment instructions are not issued on unfunded accounts
  • Manage bank POS terminals and deployment
  • Maintain relationship with bank officials
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly reports to regulatory bodies i.e.  SEC on  fund utilization (when necessary and where applicable)
  • Ensure all treasury transactions are posted and reconciliation of GL and sub GL accounts.
  • Confirm and verify bank charges
  • Review bank reconciliation report
  • Review, monitor and ensure payment processes are strictly adhered to
  • Ensure daily/weekly collection of Bank statements and confirmation of cheques.
  • Confirmation of cheques

Financial Advisory:

  • Advise management on utilization of surplus funds
  • Evaluate the fiscal decisions of their organization and recommending the best possible course of action.
  • Analyse the risks and rewards of various decisions on a regular basis
  • Ensure the management understands the risks of any given financial decision and is aware of alternative decisions they might be better off making instead.
  • Coordinate the process of fund raise and provide all required information in conjunction with the Financial Adviser

KPI:

  • Provision of Daily cash report
  • Provision of Bank Reconciliation Report
  • Accuracy of treasury reports, fund balances etc
  • Time taken to create month-end accounting journals for all treasury transactions
  • Accuracy of cash forecast
  • Rate of compliance with internal controls especially on payments
  • Accuracy of forecasted investment income

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • A good first degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Possession of a Post graduate degree in Accounting/Business Administration or related field is an added advantage
  • Minimum of  5 years in a core financial / treasury capacity.

  • To monitor the net worth of goods and maintain accurate records at all times, whilst helping to determine the organization’s profitability and accuracy of financial statements

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure proper treatment of , inter-store/ inter-branch transfer Note and Shipment report from the warehouse to QSR locations

  • Perform monthly price update of GP template used in the store
  • Coordinate monthly inventory count activities.

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly Stock Usage Analysis and Variance Analysis
  • Perform valuation of all closing stock includes diesel, Gas and other consumables
  • Reconcile stock count sheet with GP report from QSR stores
  • Prepare stock count report for management decision
  • Reconcile all inventory ledgers with the inventory valuation report
  • Prepare change Price impact on gross profit report
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Timeliness of stock usage and variance analysis
  • Timelines of  cost of sales report for monthly profit or loss
  • Timeliness of monthly stock count report
