Job Title: Operation Officer

Summary

• An experienced Operations Officer who will overseedaily technical reports from electrical techniciansin a power generation or engineering environment:

Major Responsibilities
Technical Report Management:

• Collect, review, and validate daily technical reports submitted by electrical technicians.
• Verify reported data such as power output, equipment status, maintenance activities, and faults.
• Prepare summarized daily operational reports for management review.

Performance and Compliance:

• Ensure technicians adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
• Monitor performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime

Fault Reporting and Resolution:

• Review fault logs and ensure prompt corrective actions are taken.
• Coordinate follow-up activities to confirm resolution and proper documentation

Data Analysis and Record Keeping:

• Analyze daily data trends to identify potential operational issues or inefficiencies.
• Maintain accurate logs of operational data, maintenance activities, and system performance.

Team Support and Training:

• Provide technical guidance to technicians where necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure skill gaps are identified and addressed.

Communication and Reporting:

• Act as the liaison between field technicians and management.
• Escalate critical incidents to the Operations Manager or Technical Head promptly.

Qualifications

• BEng / HND in Electrical Engineering or its equavalent
• Minimum of 4 Years experience in a similar role
• Experience in a power generation company is a plus

Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Job Overview

• The Senior Internal Auditor strives to maximize the resources deployed toward the missions of the company by identifying ways to promote efficient and effective processes.
• The officer also seeks to continually improve the productivity of the company work environment by promoting compliant and ethical practices that reinforce the entity’s core values of accountability, customers satisfaction and social responsibility.
• The internal auditor assists to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve Mikano’s operations.
• He helps the company to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance processes.
• The senior internal auditoris responsible for leading audit engagements, the scope of the engagements include financial, compliance, operational, information technology, and fraud reviews as well as other special projects, investigations and consulting projects.
• The senior auditor may work both independently and within a team through all internal audit phases, from risk assessment to report writing and management consultation, applying experience and sound judgment to identify potential risk and internal control concerns.
• The senior auditor supervises other auditors directly assigned to the departmental projects as and when necessary.
• He assists in maintaining open and timely communication, provides training and consultation to line staff regarding internal controls and mitigation strategies as needed.

Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution:

• Lead and coordinate audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Assess risks, develop audit programs, and allocate tasks to junior team members.
• Ensure audits are conducted in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Review & Evaluation:

• Review financial statements, accounting records, and internal controls.
• Identify weaknesses, risks, or irregularities in financial and operational processes.
• Evaluate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Supervise, mentor, and guide junior auditors throughout audit engagements.
• Review audit workpapers prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide training and on-the-job coaching to staff.

Risk & Control Assessment:

• Assess internal control systems and make recommendations for improvements.
• Identify areas of operational inefficiency, fraud risk, or mismanagement.
• Support risk management initiatives by providing assurance on control effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders when required.
• Build strong relationships with management to facilitate cooperation during audits.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, auditing practices, and regulations.
• Recommend process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
• Contribute to the development of internal audit methodologies and frameworks.

Academic Qualification

• First Degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance or social science or any related discipline from a reputable university with at least 7 years experience.
• Professional qualification like ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CIA is compulsory.

Job Title: Design Engineer

Description

• A Mechanical Design Engineer who would be responsible for creating, developing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products.
• Their role combines engineering principles, design creativity, and technical knowledge to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Product & Component Design:

• Develop and design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Translate requirements and ideas into technical drawings and 3D models.

Engineering Analysis:

• Perform calculations and simulations (stress, strain, heat transfer, fluid flow, fatigue, vibration).
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.

Collaboration & Project Work:

• Work with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, electrical, software, procurement) to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
• Support production teams in solving technical issues.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.

Requirements

• Academic Qualifications: B.Eng Degree / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
