  • Plan and execute medium to long term projects to enhance revenue assurance operations and identify new revenue opportunities, ensuring compliance with corporate governance procedures and RA strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies that meet MTNN’s financing needs while supporting achievement of financial objectives, including minimisation of interest expense.
  • Coordinate all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements and operating forecasts as well as the evolution of GSM
  • Support the development and maintenance of system projects to support and manage cash flow on a global basis, and to improve available cash flow and banking information.

  • Responsible for oversight management on MTN Nigeria Financial Instrument trading desk in line with Group Governance Structure
  • Lead negotiations on all Funding projects, ensure attainment of best-in-class rates and debt structures
  • Advise on viable Corporate Credit Framework(s) across relevant business divisions to drive incremental sales
  • Manage the regulatory and financial projects approvals of Company’s activities with regards to Exchange controls with the CBN and the NCC
  • Establish processes that support the identification of financial risks and exposure as well as the execution of appropriate foreign exchange and interest rate hedging decisions and ensure compliance to same

  • Coordinate periodic reviews of investment and foreign exchange policies, benchmarking policies with other companies.
  • Provide effective monitoring and assurance within a limited budget and initiate creative ways of delivering business intelligence on a continuous and timely basis.
  • Provide technical leadership /advice in the formulation and development of Treasury Revenue framework, policies/guidelines and ensure compliance of operations with MTN policies and procedures.
  • Lead and collaborate with other business units in the development of business models for use in MTNN and develop measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and project optimization.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and technology that may affect revenue assurance functions in MTNN and ensure revenue leakage is minimized.
  • Conceptualize and drive the implementation of an effective Corporate Treasury Framework.

  • Influence the institution of and compliance to SLAs with MTNN’s selected financial service providers and partner institutions

  • Oversee the efficient development and deployment of all Treasury and Banking policies across MTNN
  • Lead the implementation of Treasury Management Systems across MTNN, in line with Group Treasury specifications
  • Coordinate the activities and functions of the Company Credit committee to ensure that the company’s credit policy, collections and bad debts write offs across all revenue channels are in tandem with Board Approvals

Requirements
Education:

  • A First Degree in a Finance or Accounting related discipline
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, ACT, MCT).
  • MBA is desirable
  • Affiliation to Corporate Treasury Association (ACT- UK or ACT-USA)
  • Fluent in English and language of country preferable

Experience:
Minimum  of12 years’ work experience including;

  • Senior management track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry as per relevant role
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous)
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
  • At least 5 years treasury and/or finance experience with emphasis on foreign exchange and cash management in an international, multi-currency business environment in emerging markets.
  • Experience with debt instruments and investment management and cash forecasting. Experience with equity, hybrid or debt investments either at a corporation, investment bank, or accounting, law, tax, or investor relations firm preferred.
